A Week Later. “Come on, Mrs. Winthrop, you can do it. I can see the head, you just have to push.” The doctor said trying to encourage me, but that’s what she has been saying for the past forty minutes. Gosh, this is so painful, I ain’t doing this again. ❤️ ALYSSA’S POV ❤️ Waking up to be welcomed by the usual arguments and fight in my family has become normal, it isn’t new to me that my mum or dad or even my elder brother will be exchanging one word or the other every morning and to be sincere, it’s getting tiring and after every argument's Mum will remain indoors doing nothing but crying, and I hate it. I got to the restaurant and as usual, it was filled up, Maddy Mum’s food is the best in our town, so practically every one wants to have to taste of her food. “Hey pretty.” a boy whistled as he soon me, but I ignored him and entered the kitchen. “Aly.” Megan jumped happily on my body. “Hey Meg! How are you?” I asked, pecking her checks. “Am fine Aly.” she’s Maddy’s little sister and also a smarty-pants. “Where is Mum and Maddy.” I asked, looking around the kitchen if I could get a glimpse of them. “Mum is sick, so she had to stay at home and Maddy went....... Maddy went…”she itches her head and I know she was thinking, she does that every time she thinks. “Am back.” Maddy yelled. “Yes, she went to get some stuff from the market.” Meg said smiling and Maddy walked in. “Oh Aly you are here.” she looked surprised. “Yeah, I just came to do some minor job to earn a little money.” she dropped her bags on the cabinets.

ALYSSA’S POV I yawned loudly and paused when I didn’t hear a single noise, everywhere was dead silent. I didn’t hear Mum yelling at dad. So, I got up from the bed and rushed to the living where I met Mum crying, what happened again? “Mum, What’s wrong?” I walked closer to her on the couch. “I’m fine Aly.” she whispered, cleaning her face. “No mum, you aren’t fine, please tell me what’s wrong?” I placed her hand on mine, and she burst into another round of tears. “Your father Aly,your father left us.” i froze for a while processing what Mum just said, dad would never leave us, I was heartbroken why did he leave us?, why? “I know this is all my fault, if I wasn’t nagging at him every time this wouldn’t have happened,but I could bear to keep quiet anymore the pain was becoming unbearable. ALYSSA’S POV A knock on the door brought me out of my thoughts, Mr. Xavier said a come in and a familiar figure walked in with a smile on his face. ALYSSA’S POV I left the lobby and entered the elevator to my office floor, I dropped my bag in my office first before going to handsome punk's office to clean. The office was neat when I got there, so I didn’t do much, I went back to my office and sat down waiting for the arrival of Mr. Xavier. Like an hour or so everywhere was so boring with nothing to do, I only heard chattering from the staff and almost immediately the noise died down, the hallway was silent like an angel was passing by.
