*Sola*
It was 3:30pm and I had just parked my car into Justin's school's parking lot. The school was one of the prestigious schools here in Surulere. I was so glad that I could afford to send my son to a good school. But I wasn't going to tolerate him being bullied by some other kids.
I walked straight into the principal's quarters.
"Hi ma, good afternoon. How may I help you?" the receptionist at the desk asked, smiling invitingly at me. I smiled back.
"Good afternoon. Please, I need to speak with Mr Amos."
The receptionist asked me to wait while she prepared my appointment. After some minutes, she told me he was free and I could go in.I walked into his office and greeted him while he did the same."It's been quite a while Miss Ojo, how have you been?" he asked cheerfully.
"Fine, fine. Thank you sir."
*Alex* "Do you make a habit of keeping your clients late before you show up, sugar?" I said to Sola the moment she entered my limousine. It was Wednesday, Sola was a good 15 minutes late. I knew she did it deliberately. I studied her chic outfit. She was wearing a bright orange strapless gown. The top of the gown exposed a bit of her cleavage and I scowled silently. She looked breathtaking and I didn't want men staring at her the way I was. The gown was a bit too short, with a provocative slit on the left side, showing off her flawless skin. Her back was also bare and her make up was light and classy. God! She was so perfect."Good morning, Mr Williams." she said in a crisp, stern voice, managing to avoid eye contact with me. I smiled to myself. Today was going to be an interesting day. "Good morning, Sugar." I replied, gr
*Sola* Now he knew the truth. The lady who claimed to work with me in stealing Alex's money didn't even know me. So how could I have been the one? "Are saying that you don't recognize this lady? At all?" Alex asked, the anger was very clear in his voice.Amarachi looked confusingly towards me and Alex. "No... No.. I.. I don't recognize her sir." she turned fearfully to me. I noticed she was shaking. "Who are you miss?""I'm Sola Ojo." I replied, smiling at her. I and Alex watched as all the color drained from her face. She gasped and before I knew what she was doing, she dropped to her knees and started sobbing hysterically as she grabbed my shoes. "Please ma, I'm so sorry! The lady came to me and told me her name was Sola Ojo. I knew she was lying but I couldn't stop my self, she offered me a million to steal from t
*Alex* "Good Morning, Mr Williams. You arrived quiet early... Did you fly in at midnight?" Mr Jones, our most competent family doctor said, rising up to shake my hands with much enthusiasm. I had woken up early this morning to take a flight to Abuja, where Mr Jones resided. I had called him the night after I had found out that Sola had a child. A real living child. I'd done so because I needed to get a chance to leave Lagos, because I couldn't trust my self not to go after Sola immediately and cause more problems. "Yes, Mr Jones. I had to quickly land early because I have some urgent matters to take care of. I just needed to quickly see you for a few minutes before I leave." I explained and sat as he lead me to the dining room of his apartment."Alright, sir. Can I offer you anything?" he asked, smiling widely. "No, no.. I'm goo
*Alex* I stared at the little boy who was glaring at me with innocent anger, and I knew my life had changed completely. I noticed sola's horrified expression as we all looked at each other. Speechless. I gulped as I stared at the little boy who looked exactly just like me when I was young. He reminded me of all my childhood pictures that was hanged on the wall of my parent's home. The boy had such a splitting resemblance that I knew, without a doubt, that he was my son.I had a son.Christ!. "Who are you? And why disturbing my mommy?" He asked again, moving closer to me. He had a very tiny voice but I could still hear that edge of anger in it. He was naturally a fierce little kid."Um.. Uh.. I..." Sola was stalling, I knew she didn't know the reply to give to the curious little boy as he stared at both of us, waiting for an an
*Sola* If I'd been told a month ago, that my life turn out like this, I would have laughed at the dummy who predicted it. It was all so.. Surreal, it was like a figment of my imagination, Watching my life change completely. My life had originally changed completely after I found out that I was expecting a baby. And it had changed even more after I gave birth to my adorable prince. The boy I would give my life for in a second. From the day I gave birth to my Afin baby boy, I'd known life would be better for me. I'd known for a fact that the depression, the pain, the suffering that was meant for me after my life came crashing down would stop. Justin was like the sun. He came into my life with his innocent heart and heartwarming smiles, he brightened up my life. I watched him with a shaky smile as he played wholeheartedly with his long
*Sola* Mr Amoswas standing close to the door. Thankfully, we immediately broke apart before he could peep in. I felt my face flame in mortification as he stared at the both of us, I and Alex, with surprised, widened eyes. "Um.. I.. I'm sorry.... Am I interrupting something?" Mr Amos asked, studying Alex closely. Alex in turn, was glaring rudely and unashamedly at him. "No! No... Please give me a minute, Mr Amos. I'll be right out with you." I replied.I let out a breath as Mr Amos nodded in understanding and went away. With grim determination, I turned to Alex with a death glare. "This should be the last time you come into my house and kiss me, Alex. I have a nice man I need to be with out there. When you're done get out. You have fifteen minutes to leave Alex because once I leave, my auto-lock down device will lock all entrances to the ho
*Sola* "I'm really hurt and disappointed that you would think of hiding this from me Sola. All these times that I've asked, you kept saying Justin's father is out of the picture. Now it turns out that the man I'm selling my company to, is the father?" I kept my eyes downcast in shame and embarrassment as Mr Jimmy scolded me. The guilt I was feeling was so much that I couldn't bring myself to look at him straight in the eye."I'm really sorry, Mr Jimmy. I just... I just wanted to tell you, so you wouldn't find out from another source later and be furious with me." I explained in a sober voice. He'd asked me this morning if there was an affair going on between me and Alex. I'd panicked and confessed everything to him, worried that he would find out one way or another. He sighed and took my hand from the other side of the table. I raised my head up to look at
*Alex* It was late in the night when I got to Fayo's place. Fayo had called me to inform me that Sola and Justin had already arrived.I was a bit nervous to meet her, since she had moved in with my sister, Fayo and her husband.Sola had just bathed Justin and was putting him in his pajamas.Justin leapt from his mother's arms the moment he saw me. "Daddy!!!" he screamed with enthusiasm, jumping into my arms. I picked him up and turned him around, making funny aeroplane noises which made him laugh uncontrollably. He put his arms tight around my neck as I held him tight."How's my champ doing? I hope you haven't stressed mommy today?" I asked in cheerful voice, absently noticing that Sola had moved aside to avoid me. After playing with him for some minutes, I went to meet Sola where she
