"You didn't sleep well?" Chairman Alien asked the moment Mira joined them for breakfast. He didn't miss the dark circle under her eyes.

She hadn't been able to sleep, so she had spent the whole night reading her mother's diary. She had so many questions she wanted to ask her father and grandfather, but she wasn't sure she had the strength yet. She needed to get ready to attend Victoria's funeral... Not that Victoria deserved it anyway.

"I was busy," She said as a form of explanation. Mr. Hayes said nothing. He didn't know what to say, and he was scared Mira was probably still angry with him.

"I'll be going out after breakfast," She told them as she played with her food.

"I'll have one of the cars prepared and a driver on standby to take you around," Chairman Alien said almost immediately.

"No, I want to go alone. I'm not yet ready for any of this," Mira said, rising up from the table.
