CHAPTER FIFTY SIX

Nicole got angry at herself for not being able to bring up a nice conversation, and now the man she had been waiting for so she could see him once again had left because of her inability to talk—the man she had been dreaming of, the man who had always been on her mind.

"I would not have replied to him like that, definitely not in that manner... he must have gotten upset and left," Nicole says to herself as she looks around to search for him in the direction he walked to earlier, but she could not find him.

"God, he is not even in this bar again... I really need to do something tonight... I really need to see him right now," She added as she got up from the chair she was sitting on and went outside the bar. She opened her car door and threw her phone and handbag at the back seat as he hopped into the driver's seat and zoomed off.

She drove through the busy late-night roads of New York as she was not the scared type... she even drove at midnight and very early in the morning.
