TINA'S POV
"Nicole, oh my gosh, this is New York!" I exclaimed.
The city was splendid. It was on the outskirts of Mexico.
Of course, it took us an hour or so to get here without traffic.
Oh my goodness, it's been a year since I came here, and everything here has changed so much.
We were standing in front of McSorley's Old Ale House, one of the popular bars in New York. I knew this would happen that day when Nicole told me we should go out to get some fresh air.
This wasn't our class; we actually didn't belong here, but right now I have no say in it, and I loved it.
"Oh my gosh, this air is worth it," I exclaimed immediately. I felt the air drive its way into my sweat pores and give me lots of goosebumps.
"Nicole," I called her as I checked my sides but couldn't find her.
I got my way through the bouncers; thank goodness I didn't dress awkwardly.
"At least I didn't dress like a commoner," I said to myself.
Finally, I found Nicole at the counter; she was talking to the butler.
"Hey Nicole, you left me out there."
"Tina I'm so sorry; I have a lot on me, but I thought you were right behind me." Nicole apologized
"Excuse me, ma'am, what's your order?" The butler asked
"Three bottles of vodka fizz," Nicole replied to the butler.
"Okay, ma'am," he said as he left to get the wine.
"Nicole, three bottles of vodka fizz—that's a hell of a lot of money!" I exclaimed at Nicole's order, but anyway, if Nicole made that order, she was sure going to make the payment.
"Please, when the butler comes, tell him to add a bottle of barley," I requested.
"Sure," Nicole answered.
The butler dropped the wines and two glass cups on the counter for us.
"Excuse me, get us a bottle of barley," Nicole says.
"Tina, are you sure about the Long Island iced tea?"
"You haven't drank that since I know you," Nicole inquired.
"There's always tomorrow to try," I said to her.
"As long as you don't get drunk," Nicole stated.
"Ma'am, your order," the butler said as he dropped the bottle on the counter.
"Tina, did you already apply for any job after the last one?" Nicole asked as she poured the vodka into her glass cup and drank it.
"Yeah, I did."
"I'm expecting an email; I just hope so since I'm not certain." I also poured some vodka in my glass and sipped it.
" Okay, that's good " Nicole replied
"Wow, this doesn't taste bad," I said, and I poured the barley into my glass cup.
"Tina, are you sure about what you are doing?"
"Mixing these two isn't going to come out well; your hangover will last for two to three days," Nicole said to me as she watched me mix the two wines in my glass cup.
"Don't worry, I will be fine," I said as I sipped a little. It tasted good, and I continued mixing the wines.
" Tina? "
"Yes, Nicole, I'm all ears," I answered.
"I got a promotion today," Nicole said as she continued drinking the contents of her glass cup.
" wow congratulat..... "
"A fake promotion," Nicole said as tears fell from her eyes.
" What???? "
"Mr. Gilbert asked me to sleep with him to be the CEO of Jordan's Cosmetic Industry. Please excuse me." Nicole couldn't finish her sentence when she ran out with a bottle of vodka in her hand. I think she went to throw up.
I couldn't believe what she was telling me, so I tried getting up to follow her, but I wasn't feeling my feet and I was feeling so dizzy that I staggered back and fell on my chair.
I stared at the counter, only to find out that I had already finished a bottle of vodka fizz and the full bottle of long island iced tea.
"Oh my God, was this the effect?" I asked myself as my phone beeped.
" What!?"
"An interview is tomorrow." But it wasn't sounding good to my ears, and now I was terribly drunk.
I should have been happy, but I wasn't. Why?
I suddenly felt like throwing up as I forcefully got up from my seat and bumped onto a hard surface.
"Oh my gosh, not now," I said to myself and looked up. What I saw was unexplainable.
I just found out that what I bumped into wasn't the wall but a perfectly chiseled chest.
My eyes met a pair of golden eyes and broad shoulders. He was tall, and his overly tempting red lips I haven't seen a man with so much red on his lips in my life, but this was it.
His thick raven brown hair which was packed backwards, I could tell it was shoulder length.
He was wearing a blue suit; his appearance seemed to attract everyone in the bar, and all eyes were on him—and probably on me because I bumped into him except from Nicole, whom I haven't seen since she ran out from the counter.
I was sure his status was high.
I was certain that I saw a man with him when I bumped into him, but he was nowhere to be found. But this man I was standing in front of had totally captivated my sight; his appearance spoke highly of him.
This man was an immortal god of beauty, and he was emitting this powerful aura that could put the whole world at a standstill. He was the complete definition of what was called charming.
Here I was lost in this young man's appearance, and I totally forgot. All of a sudden, that urge to throw up showed up again, and I let it out on the young man's suit.
"Oh, my gosh," a young woman in her early thirties gasped.
"How could that happen?" I heard another woman saying this.
"That suit can buy her whole family; what a careless girl!" a man said to his wife.
"Oh, what a poor child," the butler said.
"Her day must have been cursed," an elderly man said.
I would say I got my senses of sight that moment; I couldn't believe the mess I put myself in.
And where the hell was Nichole?
Why must this happen today?
"Are you blind?" Did you lose your sight somewhere? Someone asked, probably the manager of the bar.
"First you bumped into me, and now you had the audacity to throw up on me," the young man said in a calm voice, but his voice deep and echoed inside the bar.
"I am so sorry, sir. "I can take care of this, I promise." I apologized as I tried to use my napkin to clean the suit, but I knew it was going to be worse.
When I tried to clean it up, the man threw my hands out of his clothes, and then he said
"YOU WILL PAY DEARLY FOR THIS."
“Nicole, you would have to drive a bit faster so we can get there on time,” Raymond says to Nicole as they both enter the car.“Yeah, I understand. We are already late; I cannot believe this,” Nicole said as she turned in the ignition key. The car starts, and they zoom off.Raymond is not getting any better; he feels so hot inside. This is definitely more than a fever, Raymond says to himself as he feels his throat sore and the headache worsen, but he did not say a word. Rather, he remained calm just to follow Nicole to see her best friend.Nicole drives faster this time, and Raymond looks outside through the window.I do not understand. Why does this route look so familiar to me, and where the heck is this? Raymond asked as he based his concentration outside, trying to remember where the place Nicole was driving to was.“Nicole…” Raymond called.“Yeah, is everything okay?” Nicole asked.“Are you sure you are taking the right route to where you are going?” Raymond asked as he turned t
They had nothing together after all; it had not been up to a week they met, and she hoped they would get along. She really wished they get to the stage of #relationshipgoals#; she really hoped it would happen, and they would look so perfect and magnificent together. Not only would they be #relationshipgoals#, but would also be #couplegoals#.“I think you should go and start the car while I rush upstairs to grab a cardigan. It is so cold out there,” Raymond said, and all Nicole could do was nod. She wondered why he wanted to get a cardigan—it is actually hot out there, but he said it is cold.Is he alright? Nicole asked herself as she walked out of the house, and she headed to where she parked her car.She opened the car, hopped in, and started the ignition as she turned the car in the direction of the gate.Within some minutes, Raymond got back and hopped into the car, putting on a cardigan.“This is for you. It is clean. You can wear it if you like it, or do not wear it—I do not mind
“Ivy, I am really stressed out right now, and I am not in the mood to answer any of your unreasonable questions anymore. I think you should do whatever you want to do and go get some rest. It is already late,” Mr. Gavriel said as he walked towards the exit, and Ivy rushed then dragged him back.________________“Raymond, I am extremely sorry about that. I had a sleepless night because I had been thinking about how you had felt when I left without informing you. I was so thoughtless, but I also had a reason for leaving. I had an important meeting to handle, so I had to leave without waking you because I felt so embarrassed and did not want to wake you up from your sleep. I am sincerely sorry, Raymond,” Nicole apologized.Raymond was seated in the opposite direction as he stared at her and saw how sincere she was. He asked himself if it was because she wanted to apologize that made her drive all the way to his house rather than going home, and it was already late in the night.Nicole st
Tina rushed into her bedroom and searched for her phone on top of the vanity table. Then she picked up the phone, sat on the bed, and slowly rubbed her hands on the wound so the pain would calm down for a moment, but it did not work. Then she dialed Nicole’s contact number. After a few rings, Nicole picked up the call.“Hey, babe, are you okay?” Nicole asked.Mr. Gavriel was confused about the whole thing that just played in his presence; his head could not just think straight, he could not believe Tina could talk to him in that manner. It all seemed like she had taken enough of his trash, and she wanted to let go. Of course, she had to let go.‘How dare she talk to me like that? Is she not aware who I am? She is supposed to know who I am. I can end her life right away and feed her brains to the lions in the wild forest,’ Mr. Gavriel said to himself, unaware of his sister standing beside him.‘I let her slip once, and that would not happen again!’ he added and took a few steps forward
"My heart aches badly because you call me your secretary and your submissive, yet you pushed me out of your car under the burning sun because I fell asleep while you were away. You poured away the dish I prepared because I did not ask you if you wanted to eat lunch. Why?" Tina flared out as she hung her pyjama shirt on her shoulder and rushed to Mr. Gavriel as she held his t-shirt collar so tight."What the hell are you doing? How dare you touch me!" Mr. Gavriel asked."I don't care... I absolutely do not care... What are you going to do to me now, hmm? Kill me? Hit me? I freaking do not care because I can endure the pain. Any pain you inflict on me, I absolutely do not care. Who the hell do you think you are?" Tina replied as she slowly released her grip on his collar, then put her hands on her forehead and faced the floor. She massaged her head vigorously as if she were insane... truly, she was hurt... she couldn't take it anymore... It was already too much... she was too young to b
Ivy drove straight to Gavriel's house, then she packed her car beside her brother's car in front of the mansion. Everything was bright as a result of the street lights. From her car, she saw a young lady who looked so angry walk out of the house and stop as she looked at Ivy's car for a moment, then sighed as she continued walking down to the gate.Ivy thought as much because she knew her brother's capabilities... he loved flirting with women and brought them to his home to finish up the work. She had tried her best to tell him that flirting with women was not life and that he should find a woman if he was not ready to have another lover... At least the woman would be able to take care of his sexual fantasies and needs, but no, he does not want that... he calls women who satisfy man's needs mistresses, and he does not want someone to be above him, rather he would be above them.Ivy put on her shoes, which she had removed as a result of the pain and stress of the traffic, then picked u
