She was frozen at the chairman's order as she raised her face and stared at him.
"You have to pay the price to get what is actually written down there; you use what you have to get what you want, that's the saying right, Nicole," Mr Gilbert says as he gets up from his chair and walks to the window in his office.
"I don't understand you, Mr. Gilbert; you are speaking in parables. If you don't mind, I would ask that you go straight to the point," Nicole asked.
Now that feeling of being scared ten minutes ago which she obviously forgot, had come back in a thousand folds and totally consumed her.
She knew something wasn't right, starting from the moment Mr. Gilbert asked for her presence in his office.
"Sure, I will go straight to the point," Mr. Gilbert said as he closed the window curtains and headed to where Nicole was sitting and started fondling her hair.
"You know you are a nice, talented, and beautiful young lady, right?"
"I would sincerely love to give you this position; I know you would want to be the CEO, and who wouldn't want that?"
He said as he held her hand, raising her from the chair.
"But you see, Nicole, I can give you this position on one condition," Mr. Gilbert says calmly as he gives a devilish smile.
"I still don't understand, Mr. Gilbert. What condition are you talking about?"
"What are you saying I need to do in order to get this position?" Nicole asked.
"It's a very simple task, which I know you would do," Mr. Gilbert said.
"Mr. Gilbert, it wouldn't be a simple task if you hadn't told me what the task was all about, and..." She couldn't finish her statement when Mr. Gilbert interrupted her.
"Nicole, like I said, the task is a simple thing, and if you are capable of doing it, this promotion will be totally yours," Mr. Gilbert said as his hands went down her curves, and she shivered at the old man's audacity and removed his hands from her body.
"I can see you are playing hard to get already without me telling you the condition. Okay, I will say it now."
Nicole looked at him, and all she saw was a blabbering old, stupid man who was the chairman where she was working.
"Ok, I'm all ears, Chairman," she said, waiting to hear the condition; he said that was a simple task.
"I want you here on my desk, Nicole," he said as he grabbed my waist lustfully, and she couldn't bear it anymore.
She pulled out of him and landed him a hot, resounding slap on his old, fat, wrinkled cheek.
"What did you just do, Miss Nicole Scott?" Mr. Gilbert asked as he let out a loud grunt.
"Mr. Chairman, I'll do it over again if you place your filthy hands on me. How could you think so little of me? How dare you think of me in that manner, and what makes you think I will do your bidding? "You must be ashamed of yourself, old hag." She couldn't bear the insult Mr. Gilbert gave me, and she let out all the words she had in her mouth.
"I don't know, but let me say this loud and clear."
"Mr. Gilbert, I am not a harlot; I don't sell my body just because of things like this; let that stick to your head," she finally said as she walked out of his office, leaving him dumbfounded and speechless.
Nicole immediately left Mr. Gilbert's office. She rushed to her office and picked up her phone and stuff.
She then headed to the elevator. She needed to leave that place; she needed the natural air to touch her face.
She picked up her phone from her bag and dialed Tina's number.
"Hey babe, I am on my way to your house now; get ready," Nicole said as she entered the elevator and pressed the last floor button.
"Babe, what about your work?"
"I mean, it's almost 4 p.m., and you are leaving work?" Tina inquired.
"Tina forgot about my work; get ready; we are going to where we talked about two days ago," Nicole said in a faint voice.
"Okay, I will, and I just hope you are okay," Tina says, hoping her best friend is okay.
"Okay, expect me in thirty minutes," Nicole says as she hangs up.
She couldn't believe what happened thirty minutes ago in the chairman's office.

"Oh my God, There is BIG TROUBLE.. Lucas exclaimed, as he was short of words.
"How do we explain to our boss what happened with Seamus Group shares?" Lucas asked as he paced me to and from the office.
"I don't know, but we have to tell him, and we must not waste time; it's been two days, and he's coming back from France today; in an hour or so, his flight should have landed," Aaron says as he sits and crosses his legs.
"You are talking like it is easy, just like that. I should tell him, for God's sake, I am the managing director of this company," Lucas says as he angrily throws everything on the desk as they crash on the floor.
"Boss wasn't around for a month, and the shares fell suddenly, Aaron, how do you explain that?" Lucas asked quietly, staring at Aaron.
"Lucas, for God's sake, I am the financial manager; how do you expect me to know?"
"I am as shocked as you are; it happened so suddenly that I can't point my finger at what happened," Aaron explained. He was surprised when he heard the news.
Beep beep
Lucas turned and stared at his phone, which was ringing. He stared at Aaron and then picked up the call.
"A group of people sent their application letters, sir," the caller says.
"Was there an exception?" Lucas asked.
"Yes, sir," the caller responded.
"Okay, do what needs to be done," Lucas said and hung up, dropping his phone on the desk.
"Lucas, what are you up to?" Aaron asked
"We're doing the right thing," Lucas said.
" What right thing? " Aaron asked again with a confused tone.
"We're employing a secretary for the boss," Lucas answered calmly.
"What?"
"You must be kidding, right?" Aaron said.
"It was the boss' order, not mine," Lucas said fiercely.
"Something's fishy here; I'm out of here; I have a meeting to attend," Aaron says as he makes his way to the exit.

Nicole drives into the parking lot and sees Tina sitting on a waiting chair in the parking lot as she blows her car horn, but Tina was sleeping.
"I wondered why she was sleeping here."
"I asked you to wait for me not to sleep, Tina." Nicole says to no one in particular as she steps out of her car and goes to Tina and taps her gently.
"Hey, wake up," Nicole says as Tina opens her eyes and yawns.
"You said you would be here in thirty minutes, but it's been an hour and forty-three minutes; you are late," Tina says with a sleepy eye as she glances at her phone screen and checks the time.
"I'm so sorry, the traffic was too bad; come on, get up; let's leave here," Nicole says as she helps Tina into the car, and they zoom off.
TINA'S POV "Nicole, oh my gosh, this is New York!" I exclaimed. The city was splendid. It was on the outskirts of Mexico. Of course, it took us an hour or so to get here without traffic. Oh my goodness, it's been a year since I came here, and everything here has changed so much. We were standing in front of McSorley's Old Ale House, one of the popular bars in New York. I knew this would happen that day when Nicole told me we should go out to get some fresh air. This wasn't our class; we actually didn't belong here, but right now I have no say in it, and I loved it. "Oh my gosh, this air is worth it," I exclaimed immediately. I felt the air drive its way into my sweat pores and give me lots of goosebumps. "Nicole," I called her as I checked my sides but couldn't find her. I got my way through the bouncers; thank goodness I didn't dress awkwardly. "At least I didn't dress like a commoner," I said to myself. Finally, I found Nicole at the counter; she was talking to the
"YOU WILL PAY DEARLY FOR THIS," he said furiously. He said as he stormed out of the bar, and at that moment I couldn't ascertain what was going on, I didn't know if it was Nicole or the interview letter I received, or when I bumped into the handsome man, or when I threw up on the handsome man, or when he told me I would pay dearly for what I did to him."Oh my gosh, life is so unfair," I whispered to myself as I sat on the tiled floor near the counter.I have always wanted this job, but now that I got the interview, I don't know why I was scared and feeling so sick." Oh, Christina," I said as I simultaneously used my hands to hit my head over and over again."I forgot this was the effect of the drink I had moments ago," I said to myself as I managed to get up and staggered out of the bar as I thought about Nicole. I just couldn't leave her here, and she brought me here, it would be so rude to go without her. After arguing with myself about my thoughts, I finally concluded that she wo
Shares of Seamus Group of Companies (OMC) slid 0.24% to $67.31 Tuesday, on what proved to be an all-around rough trading session for the stock market, with the S&P 500 Index SPX falling 1.90% to 4,567.00 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA falling 1.86% to 34,483.72. This was the stock's fourth consecutive day of losses. Seamus Group of Companies closed $19.07 short of its 52-week high ($86.38), which the company achieved on January 30th. Despite its losses, the stock outperformed some of its competitors Tuesday, as Publicis Groupe S.A. ADR PUBGY fell 1.07% to $16.19 and Interpublic Group of Companies IPG fell 1.66% to $33.19. Trading volume (5.2 M) eclipsed its 50-day average volume of 1.7 M. Further down the income statement, the operating margin was down slightly from 16.4% to 16.1%, and earnings per share ticked up from $1.84 to $1.95, outpacing the consensus at $1.73. TINA I started moving towards the building, and of course, I had to take the elevator to the second floor because I was already a few minutes late. I entered the elevator and pressed the second-floor button, and in less than five minutes I was already on the second floor. I practically moved at a fast pace, I went to the receptionist's table and couldn't believe what I saw, where the receptionist was placed was like where the general manager of one of those minor companies had their office, but here in this company, a receptionist was enjoying it. I forgot that I had an interview the moment I let my mind become endorsed by the beauty of the place, It is heaven on earth, I also saw some men in suits moving out of the company. Oh, I remember that Seamus Group of Companies' share price rose today, and that would help me in getting this job because probably anyone who was going to interview me would be happy about the news and wouldn't waste time trying to employ me. I snapped out o
And truly, I envied her, she just looked like Nicole in terms of character. "Luca," she called out, and I wondered if the person was the receptionist she was talking about. "Luca," she called out again as she entered the office where the discussion was held. A bronze-skinned, blue-eyed guy turned. "Annabelle... I'm so sorry, I did not hear you calling," Luca apologized to her as he stared at me. "No offense taken," Anabelle stated, and I think that was true because it was clear that he didn't hear her calling him. "And who do we have here?" Luca asked while gesturing his hand out for a handshake. "Hi Luca, my name is Christina Herbert," I replied as I stretched out my hands to return his handshake, it would be rude if I didn't, and this was my first day in the Seamus Group of Companies, so I would not want to make enemies so fast, even though I haven't gotten the job. "Luca, please, I need you to take Christina to Mr. Aaron's office, she is here for an interview," Anna
Mr. Aaron stared at his phone screen for some seconds and signed before he dropped his phone and looked at me. "Okay, like I was saying, work here is not like work in other companies. Other companies resume work by 7:30 a.m., but we resume here by 8:00 a.m., well, that's a thirty-minute difference, hahahaha, and since you are applying for the post of a secretary, you are going to end your day depending on the CEO's schedule. "Once his schedule states that he leaves early, you are lucky to leave early, and once his schedule states that he leaves late, then you are also to leave late." "That is the most important duty you have to uphold, for the rest, the CEO will tell you that," Mr. Aaron explained so nicely that anyone would understand him without asking a single question. "Okay, sir," I replied. But something was baffling me, I needed to ask this question. Was he considering giving me this job, or has he given me the job just like that without asking me any questions? Th
TINA I had lots of questions, like how much my salary would be, because that was the most important of all, and I needed to know how much I would be paid after obeying the rules and regulations. I could not afford to work for nothing. "Sir, do you mind if I get to ask you another question?" I asked him with a hint of fear in my eyes and shaky hands because I didn't want him to consider me irrelevant for asking too many questions. "No, I don't mind at all." "Just ask me anything you need to know, my time will soon be up here," Mr. Aaron said as he smiled at me with a facial expression that indicated I was free to ask any question. "Okay, please don't mind my manners, but how much am I going to be paid for this post I am going to handle?" I asked him as I rubbed my hands together on my body. "Yeah, actually I didn't forget to tell you that, but it seems I forgot after all." "You will be paid the sum of $80,000 per month for handling the post of secretary." Mr. Aaron replied
"But the older ones who worked here said the boss did not want anything like the post of a secretary, and hereby told the interview committee not to include anything like a secretary application," Zoey said. "Yes, that is true, for almost twenty years, no secretary has worked here," Phillip said calmly. "Hmmm, I do not know the boss's reason, so let us not bother about the CEO's decisions," Luca added to the conversation, and that was true, they did not know their boss's reason for employing a secretary now, so they needed to back off. "Okay guys, I am off to work," Luca said as he stood up, adjusted himself, and left for the exit. Zoey, you have to be at your table, right? I wonder what type of receptionist you are, seriously," Luca added "Yes, I would be on my way there now," Zoey intervened. "Phillip, I am off, I would not want the boss to come here and see us going, you know what that means when he slightly sees us, I cannot afford to lose my job, so see you later in the d
