CHAPTER 110: DINNER TALK

Naya's POV

I met Nelson in a restaurant for dinner, hoping to catch up on lost time and rebuild our friendship. But the conversation took a strange turn, and before I knew it, we were discussing Talon and his ongoing property dispute with his brother.

When Nelson arrived, I could see the guilt in his eyes. He knew that he had let his down, and he didn't know how to make things right. That was my own version of the look I saw on his face.

I asked him why he hadn't been there for me when I needed him the most, and he told me that he was afraid of making things worse. I was taken aback by his response. I had never thought that Nelson was the kind of person who would be afraid of confronting his problems head-on. But I could see that he was genuinely sorry for his behavior, and I decided to forgive him.
