CHAPTER 111: THE CONTRACT

Naya's POV

After Talon calmed down, I explained everything to him about my dinner with Nelson. I told him that we had talked about the property dispute and that Nelson had agreed to end the fight between them. But Talon didn't trust Nelson at all and assumed that he was up to something.

I tried to reassure Talon that he had nothing to worry about and that everything would be fine. I even joked that he should make me something to eat, which made him laugh. But despite his laughter, I could tell that he was still feeling uneasy about the situation.
