Wendy looked at Sabrina, her lips pursed tightly as her eyes welled with concern. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to do," she started softly. "But you need to think about what's best for Saben. He's growing up so fast, and one day, he'll be asking why his father didn't show up for him."

The frustration inside Sabrina became unbearable; she shot back, "I know that,Grandma" Wendy's words were so heavy to bear that Sabrina could hardly be patient as they sank on her shoulders. “I’m doing the best I can!. I am the one raising him. Not Benedict. Me."

Leila, the peacemaker, reached out to touch Sabrina's shoulder with a soft hand. "Sweetheart, I know it's hard. But maybe. maybe it's time to face him, even if it's just for Saben's sake."

Sabrina shook her head. Her frustration was building. "No, Mom. I can't. Each time I let him back in, it feels like reopening old wounds. It always ends the same. He doesn't care. He never has.".

Jenny's footsteps echoed down the cold, abandoned street, an echoing sound in contrast to the vibrant city sounds. The air was bitter and cold, but it did not mute the raw ache in her chest. Every breath was a fight, a reminder of the agony that filled her soul. Her heart, once overflowing with belief and hope, was now shattered pieces of it.Tears flowed down her face, blurring the world around her. She didn't mind that her mascara was smeared, that her clothes were damp with the cold air. She didn't mind anything anymore. She had given him everything her heart, her trust, her love and he had discarded her like rubbish.JM Reese, the man who had promised to give her everything, the man who had whispered sweet nothings and assured her she was the only one, had just destroyed it all. He had chosen Eva. The woman always hovering on the fringes, the woman he would never be able to love, and now the woman he had chosen in lieu of Jenny. The lights of the city were blinking, tempting her w

JM let out a low chuckle, but it was not in the least sincere. He spun all the way around to confront her, his eyes never wavering from hers. "The truth, Jenny?" he mocked. "The truth is that I owe you nothing anymore."Her heart ached at the venom in his words. It was an insult, a worse insult than any betrayal she had dreamed of. She had anticipated cruelty, but this was worse. This was contempt."I gave you everything, JM," Jenny spat, her voice shaking now. "I stood by you when nobody would trust you. When the rumors came out, when people made comments that I was nothing more than your pawn I stuck around. But you. you just left me in the dark. You didn't even do me the decency of an explanation."JM's expression was stone. He advanced towards her, his eyes icy, his eyes dark with something. "I never asked you to be loyal to me, Jenny. You volunteered it. And frankly, I didn't need it. Not then, and not now."The words hit her hard, like a punch in the stomach, but Jenny did not w

Jenny's Flat – Late At NightThe flat was quiet, apart from the hum of the fridge and the muffled rumble of cars in the road outside. But in the flat, the world seemed to have ended for Jenny. She sat on the edge of her bed, phone clutched in her hand, reading the screen. Her fingers trembled as she scrolled through the dozens of messages, headings flashing in capital letters: JM Reese and Eva Ross: The Power Couple of the Year! JM and Eva: Love at First Sight Photos Exclusive. The photographs seared themselves into her brain, each one worse than the last. Eva, her stunning smile, her arms around JM as if she were his. The way he gazed at her, the way it looked so right. Jenny could watch it all from the position of the paparazzi, and it ripped her apart. She tried to look away, but she couldn't. Images flooded her head like a ceaseless flood. How can he just go on living? How can he do this to me?What really broke her, though, was the lack of an explanation. His silence was worse th

JM Reese never did care too much about what people thought of him, but by gosh he was good at playing the game. On that rooftop patio, under the hot sun of late afternoon, he sat clasping hands with Eva Ross like the world's most perfectly built power couple. His hand encircled hers, and though their smiles appeared genuine enough, the truth was much more scripted than anyone knew.Eva, in her own irresistible beauty and flawless poise, was the personification of elegance. Everything she did was calculated, choreographed for the world's stage, and she reveled in it. To her, it was a game, a game she was playing to win. And to win was to be in control, something that she'd learned over the years. The cameras clicked around them like a swarm of bees. Flashes illuminated their faces with blinding white light, yet neither flinched. JM settled back in his chair, his typical cocky grin never wavering from his lips as Eva looked at him with a mix of respect and something else something menac
