CHAPTER 11: DANIEL'S APOLOGY

Daniel set the table for both of them, various assorted dishes filled the table. A bottle of wine and 2 glass cups were placed beside the dishes.

The room was illuminated by candles on their stands, one candle stood in the middle of the table. He waited patiently for Cara to come home, she had given him a key before their little fight.

The door pushed open, revealing a tired Cara. Her bag hung loosely on her shoulder and she dragged her feet. Her eyes caught the decorated table, she stuck at her position and marveled at the wonders Daniel had done.

"My lady," Daniel walked up to her, giving her a hug. "Please come with me."

She followed suit like a dog following its master.

"Sit," he drew out a chair for her and helped out with her bag and shoes.

"Thank you," she said in a small voice, not loud enough but enough for Daniel to hear.

Daniel looked around. "Where's my little guy, Mason?"

"Oh, he's with Amber. She called not quite long saying she'll bring him."
