CHAPTER 12: JASON MEETS CARA

Cara dressed Mason up for school, simultaneously arranging his lunch box.

"Mama, I want to tell you something," his thin small voice cut through her chores.

"What's that baby?"

He dipped his hand into the bowl of fries Cara had prepared. "I don't like Mr Daniel."

His confession halted her chores, she suspended her task and squatted in front of him.

"Why baby? Daniel is a good man and he is going to be your dad. You've always wanted a dad, right?"

He nodded his head gently, the piece of fries he held still stuck in his mouth.

"So, don't worry about not liking him. He's going to take good care of you, just like he's taking care of mama."

"I heard him last night mama, I heard him saying his plan is in action."

Cara rubbed his head and kissed his cheeks.

"Don't worry, baby. I'm sure it's the plan of making mummy his wife and making you his baby."
