Thirty Eight

Zephyr drew in a deep breath. He was so frustrated. The reason he sent Lucian out was because he didn't know how to answer his questions. His mind was a mess. Just one week in his pack and Bellona was already causing troubles.

Right, Bellona! He needed to see how she was faring.

Zephyr almost facepalmed himself when he realized that he was thinking about her even in this situation but he still decided to see her, even if it's for a second.

He slowly walked to the pack's hospital, careful as if not to get caught. When he got there, he saw that there was no one in except for Bellona who was still unconscious.

He walked up to her and sat by the bedside while observing her features. Though her skin was now void of injuries, she still looked deathly pale. Her lips were chapped and her eyes had large bags under them. She didn't show any sign of waking up and it worried him.

If the Holter monitor wasn't reading her heart beat, he could have thought she was dead because of how she laid motion
