Thirty Seven

When Gwydion left, Zephyr simply plopped on the couch to ponder on what he had just heard. He knew that Gwydion was hiding something from him but he didn't push it, his mate was currently occupying his mind so he didn't have time to think about Gwydion.

He couldn't help but wonder why Bellona was hiding her scent from him. It was obvious that she hated him, so why was she hiding her scent? Was she different from their kind or did she know that they were mates and didn't want him to find out? All roads were leading to one point; she didn't want him.

Would she reject him?

The thought of rejection made his stomach churn. This mate bond was doing strange things to him. He needed to get rid of her before he'd be unable to let her go. Her presence would only pose threat to himself and his pack.

He was the Alpha for a reason and his pack's safety was his utmost priority not a mate.

His thoughts came to an abrupt end when Lucian and Jake entered into his office. He probably didn't hear them
