THE ABDUCTION

Roman was distraught.

And confused.

He didn't know why he had the urge to protect or explain anything to Emily. But he found himself doing it.

Pointing at Mary, he turned furiously and said, "I think you should keep your distance."

"Wow!!" She replied, surprised etched in her voice, "Never thought I'd see the day when Roman chased me out of his house because of a woman."

Trust Mary to exaggerate things. He scoffed, he wasn't bothered by how she took or interpreted the statement he just made. He didn't care either.

"Must be your lucky day then." Roman replied, "And just so you know, I like my sanity and peace. And you're the polar opposite of what those two things represent."

"I really wish I could cheer for you, but I can't." She replied bitterly and snickered, "But it's just so funny. Does she know who you are? No, what you are?"

"This has nothing to do with Emily." Roma growled.

"Does she know you're a dead man with a heart that doesn't bleed?"
