1. First Day

It was the first day of Liana's transfer to the secretarial division.  Honestly, why all of a sudden?

It was impossible if there was no reason. Was it because of the criticism from the photographer?  But it seemed impossible because it was the first time this photographer criticized her.

So, why?

"LIANA, WAKE UP!"

Liana's friends shout from outside of her boarding house.  Last night, Liana and Sally partied in the yard of their boarding house while enjoying the beauty of Jakarta's city at night, seeing the tall buildings that, one by one, the lights dimmed to dark.

As a result of staying up late last night, Liana hadn't woken up yet from a dream.  Sally tried her best to wake her up because last night Liana told her that she would work as Secretary to the Director.  So, Sally suggested that Liana should leave early in the morning, to give a good impression as the new secretary, in the eyes of her new boss and the senior secretaries.

 "LYN LIANA ...WAKE UP ...!"

Sally chuckled irritably.  Liana didn't wake up even though Sally was screaming as loud as possible.  "WAKE UP ... LIANA ... !!!"  She shouted again.  If the door were not locked, Sally would have entered Liana's room and poured her with water.

Sally was still banging on the door really loud.  "LIANAA !!! WAKE UP! LIANAA WAKE UP !!!! Gosh! LIANA!" Sally grumbled.

Inside the small boarding house, Liana felt disturbed by Sally's scream, which slowly turned into loud sounds.  There was a sound of screaming, accompanied by a fairly loud bang on the door. Half conscious, Liana opened her eyes and immediately jumped out of bed when she saw the clock showing eight o'clock in the morning.

 "What?! Eight o'clock? Shit !!!"

It was bad, today was the first day of being the new secretary, and Liana woke up late?  Oh no!  It should have started well, but it wasn't at all.

"Duhh, what should i do?"  Liana was panicked, walked around, and looked for towels. After seeing the location where the towel was hanging - as fast as lightning she grabbed it and immediately went into the bathroom, doing the 'ritual.'

What a bad day!

Even though it was too late, Liana had to dress up a super feminine look with her hair neatly blown to make her look perfect.  "Watch, checked! What's lacking, huh? Ah, ya, my phone." She was looking for her cell phone that she forgot where it was.  When did she hold and where did she put it.

Gotcha! She found it, which apparently was under the blanket.

While running into the courtyard towards the main road, she ran in eleven cm high heels and called a passing taxi.  It was very difficult to run in high heels.

"Taxi!"  shouted Liana to the passing taxi.

"Good luck, Liana! Wish you have a good first day of being the Director's secretary!"  Sally shouted from the end of the stairs up there, Liana's position on the side of the highway.

"Thanks, Sal! Wish everything well!" said Liana in return, waving Sally.

Fortunately, Sally woke Liana. If she didn't, it would be possible for Liana continued sleeping until the sun was on the head of the human.

Liana was touched. She was about to turn around to hug her friend who was biting a sandwich after shouting encouragement.  'Okay, Liana etter have to hurry to the office, it's too late today.'

"Fighting!!!!"  Sally encouraged Liana again, who had gotten into a taxi and was about to move away, taking Liana to the office.

****

In the office, Liana ran while carrying high heels, and she looked for an elevator to go to the secretary division room.  Finally, she managed to find an elevator that would take her to the tenth floor.

"Wait, please! Don't close the elevator doors yet."  Liana's screams blared from the end of the corridor to stop the lift door that had closed.  "I want to come in, wait!"

Today it took a lot of energy.  Liana was already sweating, flooding her forehead, sweat as corn seeds.  Panting — catching her breath, Liana galloped into the elevator.

"Wait! Don't hang up yet!"  cried Liana, begging.

The elevator doors opened.

"Finally ..." The woman let out a sigh of relief, and luckily the doors weren't completely closed.  Why didn't she just wait for the next elevator?  One reason, time, she was too late.  Liana got into the lift.  The door was completely closed.  "Thanks God I can  stop it. So, I will not wait long," muttered Liana quietly.

"Ehem."  The male voice cleared his throat.

At first, Liana caught her breath, now her breath caught in her throat stopped breathing. She turned to the corner side of the lift. She suddenly couldn't move.  She just realized there was a man behind her leaning back while reading a journal.  Oops, that man must have heard her murmuring and screams.

The man raised his head, glanced at Liana.  An astonished facial expression.  Liana became embarrassed when the man looked at her.  'Gosh,  what kind of luck  is this?' After almost getting late to work, and now she was in an elevator with the prince who .... Liana didn't know what to say.  Maybe he was a Korean Oppa prince.

Liana felt awkward. She smiled forcefully, then nodded in respect, a form of politeness.

A handsome man like a prince descended from the sky.  Really, this guy was very attractive.  Ignoring Liana's smile, his style looked cool and could attract attention, and Liana was now blown away.  'Is it your first time meeting then you already fascinated?'  Haha.  Liana also did not expect to be charmed by the man.  Really handsome like Jae Joong in the Korean drama titled Protect the Boss.  He was tall and had an athletic body.  Not to mention his lips, ah ...it was seductive, thin and pink.

Perfect, right?

"Oops ...he's really my dream man," thought Liana about the handsome man.  Gosh, this man caught her attention in just one second.  "Gosh! His skin fair and clean skin. It must be soft and smooth like a woman's skin." Liana's eyes were increasingly looking for opportunities from that man's perfection.  "Perfect!"

Satisfied, Liana turned forward, clearing her throat to dispel the silence but still, the silence was created.  One lift with the prince?  Wow. Was she dreaming?

Suddenly there was a rattling sound of the lift. It was shaken a little for a moment, making it immediately stop moving, and the lights went out instantly.

Dark.  Liana's gaze darkens. She became self-conscious in the sudden darkness.

"Jeez? What's wrong with this? How come it suddenly got dark, huh? Akhh! I need light. Please, please!"  Without realizing it, Liana screamed hysterically.  Fright.

Liana was afraid of the dark.  Very scared.  She disliked it so much.  Darkness was the first thing Liana hated and disliked.  It was dark without lighting or moonlight. In the midst of darkness, Liana screamed hysterically, and her heart was beating fast. Cold sweat poured out, again wetting the skin on her body.  The reason why she didn't like dark was that it made her remember the past.  Memories of the past when Liana was kidnapped by an unknown person, those memories began to haunt her memories and return to the surface.  Since then, Liana had become a woman who hated darkness without any light, including without lights.

"Help me! Help me!"  Liana screamed for help again.  The lights did not turn on yet. Liana thought it only took a few minutes for the lights to go out.  Now she became increasingly afraid of the dark.  "I...i'm...afraid of... dark ---" stuttered Liana in a trembling voice.

Without realizing it, Liana was sobbing, hysterical again, without being able to control herself. She didn't know what her hands should now hold on to, and now she needed someone beside her to accompany and calm her down. She didn't want to be alone in a dark place.

"I'm afraid, I hate the dark..." Liana complained to herself.  She was still sobbing.  In her heart, she hoped the lights come back on again, I hope - Liana is no longer strong against the darkness.

A moment later, Liana felt a strong hand hugging her from the side, and the voice of the man trying to calm her made her realize that she was not alone who stuck there and trapped in the dark.

"Calm down, just calm down yourself first .... Don't be afraid. It's just a normal blackout. You are not alone here. I'm here beside you. Don't be afraid, you have to be calm, you are safe."  His soft voice finally made her started to be calm.  "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid."
