4. Flashback

HE?!!!!

Liana's eyes widen in surprised, staring in disbelief at what she saw now. She almost screamed. Fortunately, two palms were ready to cover her mouth. She hoped anxiously, silently praying.  She hoped her new boss didn't remember what happened three months ago.

Hold on .... Was it possible that she had ever meet him even before three months ago? She didn't remember clearly, but she was sure she had ever met him before.  About a year ago, maybe?

Her memory was recalled one year ago.  At that time, it was very difficult for Liana to get a job.  Yaps, she used to have bad experiences in the workplace. She was fired dozens of times. She was fired the last time when she was a waiters at a restaurant even without getting the last salary.

Along the way, she read job vacancies stuck to the wall of a roadside shop.  Unfortunately, no one job suited her.  Annoyed, she kicked the drink can she had bought. As a result, it landed on the forehead of a man.  It turned out that the man was Nova.  The incident was the first meeting.  Liana ran away. "Shit!"  swore Liana silently. She prayed that Nova would not recognize her.  Hopefully!!!!  "I'll die if he knows it!"

When Nova passed Liana's table and ignored, suddenly he did not continue his steps, stood for a moment then he turned around, choosing to turn to the table of his new secretary.  New secretary?  Haha, he was not surprised when he suddenly saw a new secretary. He repeatedly changed secretaries. Liana winked. "Yes?"

Liana couldn't believe what Nova said first, face?  What's wrong with her face?

"My face?" asked Liana confused, she wanted to ask Nova for a clearer explanation. Her body was stiff, she swallowed hard.

Maybe Nova would say, "I think I've seen your face before."

Come on, Liana. Think smart, don't think all kinds of things.

Nova said easily, "Your face makes my morning mood bad," 

Liana's eyes, who had not blinked earlier, now narrowed in surprise.  That was the first sentence that Nova said when he saw Liana's face, her face made Nova's morning mood bad?  Of the millions of people always praised Liana's beauty, only Nova who said her face was in a bad morning mood.

Spy? Was he kidding?

Liana laughed when she was called a spy.  She immediately denied it.  "Of course not.  I'm the new secretary here and used to work in the fashion department.  These are instructions from President Director Dika.  Director Evan chose me to be your right hand man. "

Nova was sad.  "Do you think I believe it?"

"I honestly say that I'm not a spy," explained Liana firmly.

Nova still ignored.  The next day, Nova saw Liana at the work table.  The following days, he did not listen to her eventhough she greeted him politely.  He thought that by ignoring Liana, that woman would give up being his secretary.  Upset, he aksed her to come in.

"Come in and bring your CV."

Liana did not believe it and maybe it was a misheard.  No! She didn't. She followed Nova happily from behind.  After all, she had to be the permanent secretary here. Not only about the big salary, but also the great visual of some directors in this company. Most of them were damn handsome.  Moreover, the shareholder director, Mr. Evan. He was the top one.  Unlike Mr. Nova, the most annoying and lazy one.

Nova sat behind the large table, chin up.  Meanwhile, Liana's eyes wander the view of the room.  'Is it like this, working as a director's secretary in a big company?'

Liana put her CV on Nova's desk.  The man took her CV and read it for a while for checking.

"Lyn Liana, 24 years old, Bachelor of Business Management?"  asked Nova.

Nova looked closer at her and didn't blink.  "I just realized. I think we have met before.  You look familiar to me. "

She hoped that Nova would not recognize her. But it seemed failed.  Nova remembered what happened three months ago and one year ago.

Liana chuckled, "No, sir.  Yesterday was the first time we met,"  Liana tried to convince this man.

Nova shook his head.  “I didn't forget, Lyn Liana.  Don't lie to your boss, ” said Nova in a cold voice.  "What happened three months ago and one year ago?"

"God damn it!"  Liana swallowed saliva  hardly.  "I'm sorry ..."

Nova tapped his finger on the table, his eyes fixed on Liana.  "Do you still remember me?"  he asked sarcasm.  "The incident three months ago.  You say I am a jerk and what happened one year ago you threw a can of drink up to my forehead. "

Liana nodded stiffly.  The memory was about what happened three months ago.

Flashback On.

Liana ran barefoot with a dress above the knee.  Her chest was slightly torn. While running, she continued to hold the torn part of her dress to hide her cleavage. She ran as fast as she could and managed to escape from her boyfriend. She felt tired, then she stopped running to take a breath, her head turned back.

Suddenly her boyfriend appeared quickly.  She immediately ran again, faster than before. She regretted why this area was quiet tonight, she had shouted but no one responded.  Finally she ran to the apartment door quickly and carefully.  In the apartment yard, she saw the lights approaching, she was relieved of thinking she might be safe.

The driver of the car pressed the horn long.  A woman passing in front of him just made him suddenly stopped his car, causing a screeching sound.

Liana spread both hands as if to commit suicide.  “STOP!  STOP! "  screamed her.  "STOP !!!"

Brak.  Dug!

The car stopped suddenly.  99℅ as expected.  Surely she didn't want to silly die  because of being hit by a car.

The man in the car stroked his forehead as a result of being hit by the steering wheel, almost crashing into someone's body.  The crazy woman who was the barrier to his way back home, his sharp eyes stared at her behind the windshield.  Pissed off.  The man in the car immediately opened the windshield and poked his head out of the windscreen.

“Hey bitch!  You want to die, huh??"

The man frowned at the woman who was nearly hit not in front of the car.  'Where is she going?  Strange, could it be a ghost?' He suddenly got goosebumps.

 Knock, knock, knock.  The sound of the windscreen tapping loudly, he turned to the side to find a crazy woman there. He was surprised to hear the sound of the car glass knocking.  'Is she human?'

“Open the door!  Open the door! "

Even he did not have time to think, whether that woman a human or a ghost?

“Open the door!  Open the door! "  Liana ordered forcefully, she repeatedly pulled the car door.

Because he could not bear to hear the knock on the car door, the man opened the car door.  The door opened, Liana immediately got into the car.  No matter who the owner was, she must save herself.

Liana turned her head.  “I said, drive! Just do it! "  Liana was no less sharp. She didn't care when the man told her to come out. No problem at all!!!

The man frowned in confusion to see a man tapping on his windshield, while Pevita sighed and didn't look at all.  It was predictable that the man was her boyfriend.

“LIANA !!! LISTEN TO ME!  GET OUT OF THE CAR NOW!  I-"

"Drive the car, now!"  Liana's eyes went wide.  His head felt dizzy from hearing Alex's babbling outside, tapping the windshield like a mad man.  “I said, drive!  Are you deaf, heh?! "

The man was annoyed.  Suddenly the car they were riding in stopped at the curb, he stared at Liana sharply, as sharp as an eagle's eye.

Liana's eyes wander to the very quiet street because it was already midnight. She shuddered in horror, afraid that there would be evil goons.

"I said get out! Are you deaf, heh?!" he expelled sharply, mimicking Liana's words.  "Get out of my car!!!"

Liana sighed in resignation, couldn't help but have to get out of the car.  Before actually leaving, she had time to greet the man beside him.

“FUCK YOU! ONLY A COWARD WHO LEAVE A WOMAN IN THE ROAD!  BASTARD!!! ”

What a bad luck a few months ago!  Meeting the man she once said as a jerk, but then it turned out to be his new boss.
