THE DEVIL'S THRONE

The air was suffocating. Not from heat—but from power. A darkness so thick it clung to Elora’s skin like tar as she was dragged into the heart of Kalen’s domain.

Black marble stretched endlessly beneath her feet, veins of crimson pulsing faintly like a living, breathing thing. Shadows writhed along the walls—whispering, hissing, laughing. Every sound carried her name like a taunt.

Elora… Eloraaa…

And at the center of it all sat Kalen.

The Night King. The true enemy.

He lounged lazily on a throne carved from bone and obsidian, one leg draped over the other. His inky-black hair spilled over a sharp jawline, his long fingers drumming against the armrest in slow, deliberate rhythm. But it was his eyes—those endless pools of shifting void—that rooted her in place. They devoured her whole, peeling back layers she didn’t even know she had.

“Elora.” His voice was smooth as silk yet carried a weight that seemed to crush her ribs. “You’ve come so far. Survived so much. Tell me—did you really be

The first clang of steel against steel split the air, sharp and jarring under the blood moon’s glow. Elora’s blade moved in quick, practiced arcs, sparks bursting like fireflies each time she caught an incoming strike. The metallic tang of blood already hung in the clearing—faint, but enough to stir the wolf in her veins.Kerric’s men closed in, five against two, their movements in perfect, disciplined formation. The forest around them stayed unnervingly still, as if even the night creatures knew better than to disturb this hunt.Joel was a shadow at her side, moving with the silent precision of someone who had fought in too many battles to count. He didn’t look at her, not directly, but every shift of his body aligned with hers, every block and strike timed as though they’d been training together their entire lives. It felt… familiar. Her blade met a soldier’s sword, locking in a grinding push of strength. She forced him back, only for another to lunge from her right. Before she coul

The forest was quiet—too quiet. The kind of quiet that suffocated, where even the wind dared not speak. Elora moved silently through the undergrowth, her silver blade glinting faintly under the blood moon. Behind her mask of determination, her thoughts raced.Kerric’s eyes were on me. He’ll know if I don’t at least try to fight the alpha. But her chest ached with every step closer to where Joel was rumored to be. The ghost. The traitor. The Alpha she couldn’t remember clearly but whose name burned like a forest on her soul. She stopped in a clearing. “Joel…” she whispered into the stillness. “Are you here?”A twig snapped. Before she could react, a hand clamped over her mouth, dragging her back into the shadows. Her blade clattered to the ground.“Are you trying to get me killed or you're even among them?” hissed a voice—deep, raw, and achingly familiar.Joel.Her heart stuttered as she looked up at him. His golden eyes blazed faintly in the dark, though dulled by exhaustion and pain.

The night in Silverfang was heavy almost like it held some secrets, too still and mysterious.Elora sat in her chambers, the faint glow of the blood moon spilling through her window. Her reflection in the mirror was almost unrecognizable—silver hair tumbling over her shoulders, a crown resting lightly on top her head. She looked every bit the queen… yet inside, her chest was a storm and it felt like she carried the weight of everyone's problem. Kerric’s been too careful, she thought. Too perfect. He suspects something obviously because he was a tricky wolf. The door creaked open. She stiffened, but it was only Kerric, his emerald eyes soft in the candlelight, a tray of wine and fruit balanced easily in his hands and he turned towards her. “You’re still awake,” he murmured, closing the door behind him. “You’ve been working too hard again.” Elora forced a small smile as he approached. “The realm doesn’t rebuild itself.” Kerric chuckled lowly. “And yet… you look like you could use a

The air was electric in Silverfang. A storm of whispers clung to the castle walls—rumors of missing advisors, burned-out safe houses, and enemies vanishing without a trace.Kerric stood before the war table, his emerald eyes sharp as a predator’s. His fingers traced the map as he murmured to himself. “He’s here. I can feel it.”Behind him, Elora entered silently, her silver cloak flowing like spilled moonlight. “You’ve been pacing for hours,” she said softly. “What has you so restless?”Kerric didn’t look at her. “Someone’s bleeding my network dry. One by one, my allies are disappearing. You wouldn’t know anything about that… would you, my queen?”Elora tilted her head, masking her thundering heart behind a calm smile. “If I did, would I be standing here?”Kerric turned then, closing the space between them. His hand cupped her chin with deceptive gentleness. “If I find out you’re hiding something from me…” His thumb traced her lips. “Even the moon won’t save you.”Elora’s lips parted

  • BOUNDED BY MOONLIGHT    A QUEEN'S MASK

The Silverfang throne room was a theater of shadows. Moonlight spilled in through the arched windows, pooling around Elora like a spotlight as she sat on her obsidian throne. Her silver hair was coiled into a regal braid, the crown of intertwined wolf fangs and silver ivy glinting under the blood moon’s glow. Kerric stood beside her, as always. His emerald eyes seemed softer now, filled with adoration—or so the pack believed. He bent slightly, murmuring close to her ear. “You’ve done well, my queen. The clans adore you. They would die for you.” Elora let a small smile play across her lips. It was the kind that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “As they should,” she said, her voice silken. “But loyalty is fickle. Even wolves turn on their own when blood is spilled.” Kerric chuckled, a warm sound that made the warriors around the room relax. “They won’t turn. Not while you stand beside me.” She didn’t answer. Her fingers drummed on the armrest, her eyes scanning the room like a predato

  • BOUNDED BY MOONLIGHT    FANGS IN THE SHADOWS

The throne room’s polished marble floor was streaked with blood. Shadows curled like vipers along the walls, whispering secrets only Joel could hear. He stood there—bare-chested, battered, but unbroken—his golden eyes blazing as they locked on Kerric.Kerric stood between Joel and Elora, a predator’s smirk on his face. The emerald glow in his eyes wasn’t warmth anymore—it was malice barely restrained.“Joel.” Elora’s voice cracked. She stood frozen beside her throne, fingers trembling against the armrest. “Stop this. Whatever you think Kerric did—”“He did do it, Elora!” Joel’s roar made the chandeliers tremble. His claws gleamed under the blood moonlight spilling through shattered windows. “He poisoned Maren. He led your enemies right to your gates. He’s the reason I had to disappear.”Kerric tilted his head, his smirk sharpening. “You hear that, Elora? The mad Alpha spinning tales again. Next, he’ll say I cursed the moon itself.”Joel’s chest heaved. “You don’t even deny it anymore.
