CHAPTER TWO
RALPH’S POV
It was already evening and Diana and Kathy were preparing for the party, as our parents had gone for their meeting as usual.
Diana is my half-sister, we share one biological father. Diana's mother just died, so my parents decided to move to Chicago, so Diana won't be alone.
“You mean a guy broke your heart, two weeks after your mother’s death?” I questioned, as I sat on the couch, and watched her arrange for the party.
“Yes, and I did nothing wrong to him, all I did was love the asshole and tried to be a good girlfriend for him,” She replied sadly, I could see a hint of tears in her eyes and it broke my heart.
“Who is the bastard, tell me let me crush me,” My eyes were glued to hers as I spoke, and she could see my anger.
Diana gave a weak smile, before responding.
“It doesn't matter, the asshole always goes away with breaking every girl's heart”
“So you aren't the first?” I asked and she shook her head.
“Although I thought I would be the last, the dude is a fucking player,” She rolled her eyes.
I hate players, it is better not to commit to a relationship than break people’s hearts.
I have never been in a relationship to avoid my heart being broken or the other way around.
“Give me his name, Diana,” I demanded.
“Caleb Miles,” she said. I recalled meeting someone called Caleb, who seemed nice to me.
“I met someone called Caleb at the library and…”
“That is the asshole that broke my heart,” She chuckled, after cutting me shut.
“What? He seemed nice to me,” I furrowed my eyebrows.
“He isn't, he is just another motherfucker,” She snapped, walking upstairs to get ready for her party.
“I will make him fall in love with me, and when he does, he will confess his feelings for me in front of the whole school and I will dump him right there, so he can feel how heartbroken you are right now,” I smiled.
“He isn't even gay,” Kathy chimed in from nowhere.
It is Kathy’s party but we are doing it at our parents’ house, Kathy lives in the slum.
“He seemed gay to me” I chuckled, remembering all his body’s reaction to me.
“If you can do that for me, a thousand grand is yours, make him come back to me though,” Diana smiled, and I gave her a slight mod.
“This is absurd though, what if you can't get to do it? What is in it for Diana?” Kathy asked and I shrugged.
“A thousand grand as well,” I replied and Kathy gave a slight nod.
Seems like I'm getting the money after all, cause that guy is fucking gay, and no one in his right senses would turn me down.
I went upstairs to take a shower, before slipping on my black pants and black shirt.
Soon the party started, I stayed by the corner, waiting for Caleb Miles.
I grabbed a bottle of beer from the fridge, as my eyes stayed glued to the door.
Soon the douchebag walked in with another guy, who was all over him.
“Who is that?” I asked Kathy.
“His best friend”, she replied, a little distracted.
“His best friend seems to have a crush on him,” I chuckled, sipping my beer.
“They aren't gay, you are losing this bet,” Kathy rolled her eyes and walked off.
I walked up to Caleb, seeing that his best friend had left him to have sex with a redhead.
“You friend ditched you, again,” I chuckled and he turned around startled
“I…I don’t care, he can hang out with whosoever he wants,”He replied, trying to avoid eye contact.
He is clearly into me, how can they even say he isn’t gay, Caleb miles is literally too gay to function.
“So, what are you going to do?” I asked and he just shrugged.
“I will just drink my beer here, it is what I always do,”
That is a lie, Caleb would probably be banging a blond by now, now he was trying to act cool, he is just another piece of shit that I would enjoy cracking.
“That would be dumb, won’t it?” I asked, seductively, walking closer to him.
“Wh…what the fuck are you doing?” he asked as I slammed him to the wall.
The party is filled with a bunch of horny teenagers, nobody gives a fuck what you do.
“Making your evening eventful,” I whispered into his ears before biting his earlobe.
The bottle of beer fell from his hands as he tried to push me off.
“Sto…p, I’m not gay,” he wiggled, and that was just making me horny as fuck.
“But you like it,” I chuckled, still licking his earlobe, as my hands went underneath his shirt. I pinched his nipple hard and his eyes rolled back.
“No… I… don’t,” he lied but it came out as moans, making me smile.
“But your body reaction says otherwise,” I smiled, withdrawing from him. I need him to beg for me.
My eyes went down to the bulge in his pants that he tried to hide, my smile became wider.
“Don’t do that again,” He sneered at me, looking away.
I am not going to force him to want this, he would have to ask for it, even though I know he wants it, he just needed more persuasion.
“I need to get some stuff for Kathy, hope you would not mind tagging along,” I asked with a smile.
“I don’t want to go anywhere with you,” He snapped, trying to turn away from me.
“Then you want to be thrown out of the party, Kathy would be so pissed you came to her party, after breaking her best friend’s heart,” I threatened, and I could see anger in his eyes.
“Who is going to tell her,” He scoffed, and I just kept on smiling.
“I would tell her, so just come get the stuff with me,”
He rolled his eyes and went ahead of me, I gave him a slight smack on his butt, and he jumped.
This is going to be so much fun.
CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVENCALEB'S POV I pushed him off quickly and walked out of the restroom, what the fuck does he think he is trying to do? My blood boiled as I walked out of the hospital, ignoring Miss Jane's cries. As I walked to my car, you bumped into Kelvin on my way, and he held me tightly.“I heard. Are you okay?” he asked, and that was when I broke into tears. No one has asked how I was since he died, everyone was busy thinking about their selves, the inheritance, and I was left to mourn, alone. My Grandmother is the height of all, she doesn't even care about her son, and it's alarming. I thought that Howard wanted to feel my pain, but instead, he just wants to fuck me regardless of what I am going through, that asshole.“He is gone, I didn't even get to say goodbye” I wept, as Kelvin patted my back.“I don't know how you feel, but I am assuring you that I am here for you,” He whispered into my ear.“Thank you, my grandmother, whom I never knew has gone mad, but what
CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX CALEB'S POV I stared at Howard for an answer, but he looked at me confused, like I was overthinking things, and honestly speaking, I was.“ANSWER ME,” I growled, walking towards him.“Your father is her son Caleb, Catherine might be terrible at parenting him but I am certain she loves Mr Miles with all her fucking heart, and the time of his death, Catherine was asleep,” He said, trying to understand why I thought my grandmother was the murderer. I strode to where he stood, till I could feel his breath on my neck.“Okay then, why did you follow me inside the toilet?” I asked, in a whisper, making sure that my breath graced his collar line.“To…comfort you,” He stuttered, taking a few inches away from me. I burst into a round of laughter, allowing him to wonder why I laughed so hard. I laughed, and almost choked in my laughter.“You want to comfort me?” I scoffed, as my laughter subsided.“Yes, and I barely think this is something to laugh about,” He said, c
CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVECALEB'S POV I got to the hospital early, just wanting to see my parents before leaving for school. “Miss Jane,” I yelled, running to meet her, only to find her in tears. What the fuck is happening?“What happened Miss Jane, are you alright?” I asked, giving her a tight hug. Last night, she said my parents were doing okay, so whatever is happening to her is certainly her personal issue. I don't care if I am getting involved in her personal space, so I just hugged her tightly, patting her back. We stayed in that position till the door came to speak with us.“Should we move his body now?” He asked, and I got confused. “Whose body are you talking about?” I asked, turning from Miss Jane to the door, but they all kept quiet, the sadness in their faces spoke a lot. Did Miss Jane’s family get into an accident too? I am kind of confused about everything, I don't even know if Miss Jane has any family.“Caleb, there is something I need to tell you,” Miss Jane s
CHAPTER THIRTY-FOURRALPH'S POV I had a wide smile on my face as I lay on my bed. The kiss Caleb and I shared kept flashing in my memory even though it wasn't our first kiss. Hearing about his parents’ accident has made me very worked up, even when I tried not to see her, my body was willing. “I need to wish him good morning,” I said, searching for my phone. My phone lay innocently beside my lamp stand. I grabbed it. What was I going to type without sounding desperate? I thought hard, I didn't want to scare him away. After much thinking, I decided to type whatever came to my head first. “Hey, how are your parents?” I typed and clicked send immediately. I wasn't expecting his reply anytime soon, so I dropped my phone back on the lampstand and got off my bed. I strode to my kitchen where my Mum was cooking as usual. People might think because of our wealthy status, we would own a cook, but unfortunately, or rather fortunately my mum loved cooking and she is gr
CHAPTER THIRTY-TWOCALEB'S POV After the strange encounter in the hospital, I sat at the reception, waiting patiently for Miss Jane, until she finally came.“You need to rest, it's already midnight,” She said, sitting beside me. I had no intention to sleep, my mind was not settled until I was assured that my parents aren't going to die.“I am good Miss Jane, I think the only one who needs rest here is you and Kelvin,” I smiled at her before turning to Kelvin who sat beside me, patting my back gently. Kelvin told his parents he would be coming home late just to be there for me.“You need rest, and I am not saying this because I am tired of being here with you, I mean it,” Kelvin chimed in. Kelvin needed rest, and if I don't leave the hospital he won't, and it would be selfish of me to put him through that.“Your eyes are heavy,” I scoffed, and began to clean his eyes.“That isn't true,” he protested. Miss Jane placed a comforting hand on my lap and her wrinkled eyes stared at
CHAPTER THIRTY-TWOCALEB'S POV I rushed to the hospital where my parents were, my heart raced, and I could barely feel my feet. Getting to the hospital, I saw Ms Jane, who had her face buried in her hands, making me panic.“Ms Jane, how are they doing? How are my mum and dad?” I rushed to her and said, as she took me in a tight hug. I didn't know what else to do, so I cried on her shoulders. My parents aren't caring, but losing them is something I can't bear, they are the only family I know, because they have refused to show me others.“Your mum is getting better, your dad is still in a coma, the doctor said, it affected him badly, because he was the one driving,” She said, patting my hair slowly. I gulped hard, trying to understand the situation. I felt someone pat my shoulder. It was Kelvin. I could feel his presence, and he also drove behind me.“I am here for you,” He said, giving me a comforting tap on the back. I wondered about a life without my father, and it su
