The dining hall was tense when Elara arrived.

Most of the morning crowd had dispersed, but a group of about fifteen wolves remained clustered near the far wall. Their voices carried clearly across the space.....angry, indignant, challenging.

".....doesn't belong here," one of them was saying. A large male wolf with gray streaking his temples. "He came here as a spy. As an enemy. And now we're supposed to just accept him? Treat him like pack?"
