A few days passed in a jiffy with Lola spending most of her time in the hospital taking care of Noah religiously. She had taken note of his routines, and drug dosage and even learned how to change the bandages for his injuries.

Though Noah’s wounds were still painful, the pain had reduced compared to how much pain he had endured in the first few days. Now, he could move his arms freely, sit up straight for a while, and even lie down on his side.

The doctor in charge of Noah’s treatment was very happy with the progress of his recovery and after almost nine days had passed, Noah was finally given the discharge slip and instructed to rest properly at home for another two weeks at least before resuming at the company.

Noah watched as Lola and Jane packed up the rest of the belongings they had gathered during their stay at the hospital.

“Here, you can take these directly to the house.” He heard Lola say as she handed the box over to Jane.
