6: Heartbreaker

I stopped, took a deep breath, and schooled my expression before turning back to meet his gaze with a raised brow.

“Sorry ma'am, why are you here? You need to follow through that entrance, not here.” He nodded towards the entrance where they were searching people.

“I…um” I cleared my throat, “I'm looking for a female driver who I assigned to my kids.” I lied, “Umm, her name is Amelia, I think?” I acted as if I was looking for the person even though my heart was pounding so loudly in my ears, It was just a matter of time before everyone recognizes me. I guess the man bought the lie because the suspicion in his eyes vanished instantly. He told me she wasn't there yet, he gave me a card to call if I eventually see her. I thanked him and quickly left the vicinity.

The moment I left the place, I walked into a shopping mall, swapped cardigans then fled from the area. Chelsea called me thirty minutes later.
