"You are the heiress?" Elara asked, letting out a long laugh. She was angry to meet her boyfriend with a woman, but it amused her that this woman was pretending to be the woman she hid from Micah all these years.

She did not want anyone going after her for her family money and influence but for who she was. "But I hear that no one knows what she looks like, so how can we be sure that you are the one?" Elara followed with continuous laughter. She was sure that her siblings would have a field day with this information if they got to hear it.

Her father had been the expert at keeping his children away from the public and had only introduced her brother Ronan when he was twenty years old to the media because he said he had to learn the ropes of the business.

Since Elara stayed hidden from the press, it was easier for her to live a life of freedom. "Are you saying that I am lying?" Zara asked, shifting on her feet uncomfortably.

"Of course not; how can I call you an impersonator?" She asked, a teasing smile on her lip. "However, you being a Quinn does not change the fact that you are with my man," she added.

"With your man?" Zara turned to Micah with a pout on her face, and she frowned slightly.

"Boo, I thought we were getting married."

"Married?"

"You are getting married? To her?" Hearing Zara speak, she was suddenly jolted back to the reality of why she was standing there.

She had gotten all glammed up to come here to catch him cheating in the act and had gotten carried away by Zara's ridiculous claim.

"We are getting married," Zara sighed and went to hold him by the arm.

"Micah? What is she saying?" Elara asked, turning her head slowly at him.

"Don't you understand what I am saying?" Zara asked, laughing. "She really is slow," she added, laughing and hitting Micah's hand.

"I am slow." Elara was in pain because she had caught her boyfriend obviously cheating, and both parties did not seem to think that they were wrong about it. "Are you saying that I am slow?"

The confidence she had stomped in here with was slowly depreciating, and she felt naked as if she were being stripped. She turned her eyes from side to side as she watched the eyes that once had admiration for her were now full of pity.

"So humiliating," she heard someone whisper; at that moment, she just wished the ground would open up and swallow her up. This was not how she expected this to go; she would confront him about cheating, and he would tell her that it was a mistake and he was coming back to her. She did not think he would be proud of his sins.

"We are not married, so I do not know why you are making a fuss," Micah said. His words were so laced with hurt that she felt it dragging through her soul.

"But we are supposed to get married and have a great family," she muttered, looking down at her hands. She was clutching her bag in one hand and the other hand still held onto the plate.

"Wait, did you ever think I would get married to you?"

"But..."

"Oh my gosh, that is so funny. I mean, what makes you think that I will leave Zara Quinn and get married to you? A nobody?" She had thought he was being mean earlier; his words were getting worse and worse with everything that came out of his mouth.

"So you are leaving me because she is a Quinn?" Elara asked as she thought of how he would react if he got to know that she was the legitimate heiress of the Quinn and not this imposter standing here.

"Wouldn't you do the same?" he asked.

She wondered how she had never seen it before now, how she had been blind to all of the warning signs, how she ignored them all and made herself believe that he was the best option for her.

"I am so foolish," she muttered, blinking back the tears that lined her eyes.

"Of course you are," Zara said with a smile.

"Micah," Elara breathed out, closing her eyes tight to stop the tears from flowing from her eyes.

"Can you stop calling my name, please?" he asked, and she shook her head.

"You are going to regret this."

  • Back To Love   HELLO GUYS!

Writing this has been an emotional journey and I would not lie that I may or may not have gotten sidetracked while I was writing this book and had gotten invested in the story line of the supporting characters and went all in, giving them so much life. When I began writing this, the only thing I wanted to do was write realistic, selfish characters who were madly in love and I wonder if I actually achieved that or if it is all in my mind. I really want to appreciate everyone who has supported this book this far. All of the comments and reviews (even though i wish I would have been able to get a bit more)The gems too from- Kathleen- Jeanne Gentile- jj0426001- Cia- Sarah H- Michelle bart- Cristina SalazarThank you so much for supporting my book with all of your hard-earned money; it means too much to me that I am even able to bring my words together to thank you.I can't believe how much this book went on and how I was able to write it to the end without losing my trail of thou

  • Back To Love   EPILOGUE 5

"Mommy, Mommy, Mommy," Elara groaned as her children jumped up and down on the bed. She wondered why she had been eager to have children when all they had in the morning was energy, and all she wanted to do was sleep in all morning, even though she had to be at work."Mommy, the children want you up," Ezra said, tapping her head gently and then bending to plant a kiss on it."Ewww!" the children exclaimed, causing both of them to laugh."Eww!?" Elara asked as she puckered her lips for Ezra, who, in turn, kissed them. "You think Daddy and Mommy are gross?" she asked, and they both nodded, trying to cover their faces with their little hands."How on earth can you think Daddy and Mommy are gross?" Ezra asked, taking hold of one of them and tickling her in the belly. Elara watched the scene with her head still on the pillow but slightly elevated. They had argued so much while she was pregnant about the gender of the child that they had both gotten so happy when the doctor told them it was

  • Back To Love   EPILOGUE 3

Noelle was sitting in the garden outside since, after getting married to Ronan, she had tried all of the things she thought she would be good at and could end up as a business for her, but it turned out that she was not really a good businesswoman in the end. She looked down at her laptop that had been taunting her for the past hour with the cursor blinking rapidly in her face. She heard that writers made a bank of money and now she suddenly wanted to be a writer, but she did not even know what she was supposed to write. Her brain was devoid of all emotions. She heard the gate open but did not think too much of it; the housekeeper had told her that she was going grocery shopping; maybe she was back with the things. She had promised she was not going to move an inch until she had successfully completed at least a chapter from the book, but she had no idea where to start. She continued staring at the black page in front of her. She had been so confident in her ability to do whatever she

"You know, for someone who said she was at the verge of death, I have to say that you really stayed a long time," Marcus said to Mrs Smith as they sat down to dinner."Marcus, not in front of the kids," Isla said with a frown on her face to her husband. He shrugged as if he did not understand what she was saying and glanced at both children as they munched happily on their meals. It was almost as if they didn't hear or understand what was going on. Or maybe they were already so used to hearing things like that that it no longer moved them as it should."What did I say?" he asked with a shrug."You know you shouldn't be saying that to your mother in front of the kids. We've talkedut it," Isla replied, and he nodded."I said what I felt like saying; was anything so wrong with that?" Mrs Smith asked and then shook her head. "I guess seeing you build a wonderful family for yourself caused me to stay longer," she said as she pushed the fork laced with chicken into her mouth."Yeah, sure,"

  • Back To Love   EPILOGUE 1

"We are going to be late.""Late, what do you mean? Aren't we flying private?" Clara came out of the closet with two hats in hand. One with a big-rimmed straw hat and the other a velvet-looking straw hat."We are, but there are still protocols to follow concerning such things," Elliot replied, falling to the bed as his wife moved through the room to the mirror. She began trying on the hats. He had let her know that they were going on a trip for three weeks before, but it was not until the morning they were set to travel that she set out her box to begin packing."We are flying private; I doubt the plane would leave without us," she said with a smile as she threw both hats into one of the open boxes on the floor. "By the way, are you sure that you do not want to pack anything more? I am giving you the opportunity to do so now," she added as if she had properly orchestrated the entire thing to make sure that he got all he needed."I am sure of it," he said with a nod."Suit yourself," s

  • Back To Love   EPILOGUE 0

SIX YEARS LATERZara had only agreed to her mother's words because her son was constantly asking about his father. She did not want to be one of those moms who wanted to protect their sanity by all means and then they go ahead and lie about the father and everything comes crashing down years later. She let out a deep breath and looked ahead. She had only come to see Micah in jail once since he had been put in there, and this time she was with his son. He was six years old, and his questions were growing; the only way she could save herself from whatever it was that was impending was to face it squarely now."Now, honey, I want you to know that he is not a bad person; he was just caught in a web of bad things." His first impression of his father had to be good; she would not be able to live with herself if it was otherwise. "Do you understand what I am saying?" she asked, and the little boy nodded."And when you see him, you can smile and hug him a bit too," Zara added. She did not kno
