Olivia's POV

“You're going nowhere, Olivia. Get back in that room and get out of those clothes. You’re still recovering. You’re weak,” he barked at my back.

I froze, my hand hovering near the elevator call button. I slowly turned to face him. The look in his eyes was fierce, a storm of territorial rage.

“You can’t keep me here, Liam! I’m not your prisoner! I am a grown woman, and I have every right to leave this golden cage whenever I want!”

I spun around and stormed toward the elevator, my heart pounding so hard I could hear it in my ears. I was terrified he would grab me, throw me over his shoulder, and lock me in a room. But to my utter surprise, he didn't move. He just stood there, watching me with a dark expression.

The elevator doors slid open, and I stepped inside, the silence echoing as the doors shut. I leaned against the mirrored wall, breathing out a sigh of relief. I needed Avery. I needed a touch that didn't come with strings attached.

  • Bad Contract with the Billionaire Devil   This place isn't safe for you

Olivia's POVAvery shook her head, glancing over her shoulder at the reporters who were still mourning their broken cameras from a safe distance. “I have no idea how it leaked, but it’s everywhere, Liv. They’re calling you the 'Billionaire's Secret' and the ‘Vaughn Vulture.' Let's just get the hell out of here for now. This place isn't safe for you. My apartment is crawling with them.”“Please get in,” Zach said. His hand was already holding the door open. His eyes were constantly scanning the rooftops and the street corners.I wanted to say something; to tell her I was sorry for bringing this to her doorstep, but Avery took my hand and pulled me toward the car.“Come on, Liv. Don't think, just get in. We need to talk where no one can hear us.”Avery slid into the plush leather interior, and I followed, letting out a long, ragged sigh as the door shut out the noise of the world. Zach moved to the passenger seat while James took the wheel. As the engine roared to life, a few remaining

  • Bad Contract with the Billionaire Devil   The Leaked Secret

Olivia's POV “Olivia? Is that really you?”I turned toward the voice. It was Mr. Henderson, the retired mailman who lived in the basement unit. He was wearing his usual greasy plaid flannel shirt and a worn-out beanie, his eyes wide with a mixture of shock and something that looked uncomfortably like judgment.“Hi, Mr. Henderson,” I said, offering a small, tight wave. I didn't look at him for more than a second, keeping my head down as I moved toward the entrance. But the word had spread faster than a wildfire. More people began to emerge from the shadows of the doorways, drifting toward me before I could even reach the stairs. I stared at the cracks in the pavement, walking faster, my breath coming in short, panicked bursts.“Where the hell have you been, Olivia? We saw the news!” a woman from the third floor shouted.“Do your parents know you're back? They haven't been able to show their faces at church!” another voice piped up.“Did you really do what they said you did on the inte

  • Bad Contract with the Billionaire Devil   You're Going Nowhere

Olivia's POVThe dining area of Liam’s penthouse was a masterpiece of cold, minimalist architecture; all polished marble, sharp angles, and glass that seemed to touch the clouds. A few hours after that confusing, feverish bath, we sat across from each other. We were both shrouded in thick, plush white robes provided by the house, the heavy fabric doing little to settle the trembling in my bones.Different kinds of breakfast platters were laid out across the long table: shirred eggs, smoked salmon, silver dollar pancakes, and bowls of vibrant berries. They smelled amazing, the aroma of fresh coffee and expensive butter swirling through the air. But unfortunately, I couldn't bring myself to care about any of it. My stomach was a tight, painful knot.I just sat there, staring at the steam rising from my cup, and sighed heavily. My mind was completely gone, stuck on a loop of that dark ballroom and the moment my body had betrayed me.“Eat, Olivia. Enough with the sighing. It’s not going t

  • Bad Contract with the Billionaire Devil   Do You Want her In This Bed?

Olivia's POV“Leave me alone, Liam,” I whispered, though the fight had drained out of me. I felt the heat of a blush spreading down my neck. “We are divorced, in case you've forgotten the paperwork. If you're so desperate, so horny, then go call Evelyn. I’m sure she’d be thrilled to help you out.”Liam let out a dark chuckle against the nape of my neck. He reached forward, gathering my heavy, wet hair and pulling it to one side. I shivered as I felt his lips graze my sensitive skin, his breath hot and damp.“Do you really want me to call Evelyn over here, Olivia? Do you want her in this bed? In this tub? Tell me the truth.”“Aren't you two already doing it openly anyway?” I spat, the bitterness leaking into my tone like ink in water. “Why say it as if I'm some jealous wife begging my husband not to cheat? She’s the one you chose. She’s the one who gets the ring and the title. I’m just… the help you can’t seem to quit. Did I miss anything?”I knew I sounded pathetic, but deep down, a s

  • Bad Contract with the Billionaire Devil   Hangover

Olivia's POVThe fog in my brain was thick, but a tiny bit of a memory broke through. I remembered a server; a girl with a blank expression, handing me a flute of champagne. I remembered the bubbles, the cold glass, and drinking the whole thing because I was so nervous about being caught. And then… the heat. The unbearable, skin-crawling fire that had consumed me.“My head hurts!” I bit my lip, groaning as the memory triggered a fresh wave of agony. I leaned my forehead against his shoulder. “I don't remember much. Some server gave me champagne… and then everything went white. God, it feels like my brain is exploding.”He didn't say anything as he stepped into the bathroom. He gently lowered me into a massive marble tub that was already filled with steaming, fragrant water. He sat on the edge of the tub, his hands were surprisingly gentle as he brushed the hair back from my damp forehead.“You’re going to be fine,” Liam said. His voice was strangely soft. “You’re just having a severe
