Grimshaw had begun his rampage

He could not believe he was looking at Jake from old times.

This time, Grimshaw had bitten deeper into his cut and was hell-bent on drawing him out. The last time he saw Jake, they were only kids, and the latter's father had decided to leave for another pack because of love. Jake's mother died during childbirth and eventually left Jake to his father when the older man found love in another woman's eyes.

Unfortunately, he could not get her to join his pack but left his to hers, which might explain the other two brothers crying over him.

Sebastian held his tears inside as they threatened to spill out. He had wondered for some time how it would be should he encounter his childhood training buddy. He never imagined he would get to see him in such a bloody state. It was unexpected as well as unbecoming.

He looked into those familiar eyes and could see death hastily approaching. The youngest clung to his arm, begging him to save him, but even Jake knew he was already done for.
