Jenny’s POV

My alarm buzzed at 6:00 a.m., but I was already awake. My body moved through the usual motions, brushing teeth, washing face, tying hair—like muscle memory. I was just about to lace up my sneakers for my morning jog when my phone buzzed on the nightstand.

At first, I thought it was Olivia or one of the girls. But when I picked it up, my stomach dropped.

The message was from the same unknown number.

Unknown: “I’m happy you’re beginning to have fun, but I don’t want any man close to you unless you want them hurt. My men are watching. You met your bodyguards, right?. Don’t do anything to piss me off, J… your fiancé.”

I froze. My fiancé. That word again.

My thumb hovered over the screen. I was tired of letting whoever this was pull strings, as if I were a puppet. For once, I wanted to push back.

So I typed, with my hands trembling:

Me: “Who are you and why are you stalking me?”

The reply came instantly, like he’d been waiting.

Unknown: “Let’s say I’m your angel, and we’ll meet

Jenny’s POVBy the time I entered my final year, I had stopped asking questions about J.His messages and The gifts. The sudden interventions when things went wrong. They had become part of my life, like invisible threads tying me to someone I couldn’t see but could always feel.At first, it was terrifying. His bodyguards showing up in the middle of an argument, the whispers, the endless rumors that I had a powerful fiancé hidden somewhere. But after years of living under that shadow, things changed, I got used to it. His presence became… constant. Protection for me.No one dared cross me on campus. Professors treated me with caution. Students whispered my name with envy or irritation. I didn’t ask for it, but J’s watchful eyes made me untouchable. The day before graduation, a knock came at my dorm door. Olivia, my roommate, squealed before I even opened it.“Jenny, it’s another one!” she shouted, practically bouncing on her bed.I hesitated, staring at the sleek black box left neatl

Jenny’s POVThe café smelled like roasted beans and sugar, warm and comforting, but tonight my heart wasn’t in it. I tied my apron tighter and tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear as I carried two lattes to a table. Working here was supposed to be simple, just me and the espresso machine, and endless cups of caffeine. But peace never seemed to last for me. “Hey, Jenny!”I looked up, and my stomach sank. A group of guys from campus had taken a table near the counter. Loudly laughing, the kind of people who wanted attention. One of them, a tall guy with messy blond hair, grinned at me like I was part of the entertainment.“You should sit with us,” he said, leaning back in his chair. “Come on, take a break. Don’t be shy.”I forced a polite smile. “I’m working. Can I get you anything to drink?” I asked them.“Yeah,” another chimed in. “How about your number?”The table erupted with laughter. My cheeks burned, but I kept my voice steady. “If you’re not ordering, I need to get bac

Jenny’s POVI thought the bracelet was the last surprise. I thought if I ignored it, maybe 'J' would get bored. But J was patient and timing. Two days later, as I left my library shift, I noticed a black car parked across the street. with the Windows tinted and the Engine humming. My stomach tightened,i know they are J's men instantly.“Stop being paranoid,” I whispered to myself. But when I glanced again, the driver’s door opened just a little, as if whoever was inside wanted me to know they were there.I quickened my pace back to the dorms with my heart pounding. By the time I reached the entrance, i looked back but the car was gone. The whispers hadn’t die down, They rather got worse.“Her fiancé must be loaded.”“Did you see that bracelet she puts on? That’s worth, like, ten semesters of tuition.” i put the bracelet on because i like it but didn't think about it, and i always put on the necklace J gave me. "whats wrong with thses students?" i asked mtself.“No wonder she acts all

Rex’s POV The weights clanged as I dropped the barbell onto the rack. Sweat ran down my back, but it wasn’t enough to burn away the storm inside me. How do I win Jenny back? And what do I do to make things right? This has been my constant problem since the night of our prom, and I am no longer a happy person without her in my life. The gym was loud—guys yelling encouragement, sneakers squeaking against the polished floor, and music blasting from someone’s speaker. I’d just grabbed my water bottle when my phone buzzed. An old teammate’s name lit up the screen. “Yo, man,” I answered, breathing heavy. “Boy, you are trending everywhere.” His laugh was sharp, almost mocking. “Yesterday, it was you and Rachel. Today? You and Jenny. You’re the main character of the internet, bro.” I froze. My grip on the bottle tightened until the plastic crumpled. “What the hell are you talking about?” “Check your phone,” he said, his voice too casual for the punch it delivered. “The video’s everywher

Rachel’s POVI hated Jenny Walker; her name alone made my blood boil. That good-for-nothing Rex kept saying her name like a prayer; he will pay for humiliating me in front of half the school, declaring he’d only ever love her. It was the way she always seemed to be in my way that irritates me the most. She always ruins my plans and takes what I wanted.Every time I reached for something, Jenny was already holding it. Every time I tried to shine, she dimmed my shine. She wasn’t even here yet; somehow, her shadow loomed over me and Rex. I have wanted to be his girlfriend for a long time.I've tried everything in my power to attract him, but he went for that stupid girl. I wasn’t going to sit back and let her keep haunting me. Not after the embarrassment I’d suffered. Not after Rex turned me into a joke, she must pay. Jenny Walker had to be destroyed.I picked up my phone and called Sierra that night, “ Hello Sierra, she’s always in my way again. You know what Rex said yesterday? He stoo
