CHAPTER 172. LOVE THAT HURTS

"Please help Alex up!" Caroline called out to anyone willing to help her. However, before his mother could touch her, Alex raised her hands in the air to signal his mother not to approach him.

"Nobody comes near me! No need to help me!" Alex exclaimed in a stern tone.

"Angelina, I know and I am very aware that I have hurt you a lot. I know I'm selfish if I keep asking you for a chance again and again. But, I can't just let you go either. You can be angry and hate me, but you have to believe me that I really love you. I don't think of you as someone else's shadow at all. You are you, Angelina Brigitte, the woman who healed my wounds and accepted my flaws."

Kneeling on the cold floor of the air-conditioned room, barefoot, Alex spoke thus.

"I regret, really regret my stupidity because again I was deceived by that damn woman, I never thought Camila would cooperate with Roy, that's because I was very weak and I underestimated the enemy too much. But I promise I will be stronger from now on
