Eve POV

Since Conrad and I kissed I have been avoiding him. I know he notices but he has given me space. I think it’s just nervous energy. I let someone, an Alpha no less, past one of my walls, and now I felt naked all the time. How are relationships meant to work anyway? Every nerve in me is telling me to run but there's a force telling me to stay.

I needed to burn off some steam and I have finally been cleared for training.

I get to the gym at 6 as most wolves go after 9. I’m glad to find only one other person. I start jogging to warm up, do some weights, and finish with some boxing. The other wolf is a young male and he hasn’t left the boxing area since I arrived. He keeps mumbling to himself “Be better, you have to be better”.

Curiosity gets the better of me and I go over to him.

“What exactly are you trying to be better at”.

He jumps at the fact I’m talking to him. And starts to try and pack up.

“I’m sorry for interrupting you Lady Eve. I will go so I’m not in your way”.

    Lewana POV I go into the medical centre and it is chaos. Brianna is partially shifted and screaming at everyone. She was completely hysterical. "I NEED TO LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO HOLD HIM.     Lewana POV After about an hour of crying for joy with everyone at breakfast, I went to take a nap as I was exhausted. Don't know if it was pregnancy or being emotionally drained, but either way, the thirty minutes did wonders for me. When I woke, I was upset again. I'm thrilled for Arthur. I was aware of his previous mate, but they never marked each other. It seemed to be more of a comfort relationship than a love relationship. With my mum, it was a mutual understanding. I'm glad he has found someone to cherish that way. But I have been with Conrad longer, and her still hasn't marked me. The jealousy only lasts about two minutes before it turns into rage. I'm going to find him and demand an answer. I stomp around the house and track his scent to one of the meeting rooms. My aura is fully up, and Serena's eyes have replaced mine as she is pissed with him too. I can scent he is in one of the large study rooms with Arthur, Liam, and Connor.     Conrad POVI stand on the balcony and look out to the forest as the hunt is underway. Some have flame torches and others flashlights, and they chase their targets.
