Lyric Adams pov

I lay down with nervous, giddy excitement about my upcoming travel, yet a little saddened by having to leave Willow and Rita. Actually, I was feeling saddened about Camden too, but my thoughts about my dead brother and that bitch Jasmine destroyed the attraction I could have had.

“Is this the right decision,” I asked my wolf.

Ojani hummed a bit then asked me if I had another choice.

“You don't want to serve beside Gregory and have refused Camden so what else can you do?”

Frowning I rolled over and growled sourly that I had no choice and closed my eyes, hoping for a rest.

Later that night, I was shaken awake by Willow grinning smugly at me, so I gave her a furrowed curious brow.

“Victor and I have decided to join you. We asked Rita and Ramsey but they declined,” she whispered as I sat up in surprise.

“I don't want either of you to get into trouble,” I muttered softly and she pffted at me.

    Lyric Adams pov Hearing Willow's light snoring, I soon joined her in a healing sleep. Unfortunately, my body was healing, but my trauma was untouched, and when I awoke the following morning, I was in a detached mood. “How are you? Did your wolf heal you, um, downstairs?” Willow asked, and I nodded. “Yeah, I just feel a little sore, but it's manageable,” I said softly. “Let's go to the kitchen and start our day,” she sighed. After dressing in jeans and a tee, I followed her to the packhouse kitchen. I saw my old Alpha's red-eyed guard, and he instantly focused on me as I entered the area. Lowering my eyes, I tried to hide from the huge Lycan guard, but he started to stride straight to me. “Miss Adams, let me see your brand,” he ordered. Reluctantly, I turned my wrist and peeked at him to see his eyes widen. Without saying anything, he grabbed my arm and then turned abruptly.
