Roselyn

The cloud rumbled and the rain increased, it was beginning to get flooded and I was getting so cold, my entire body was drenched in rain but I kept moving.

There was no need for all of this, my life had been miserable since I was born and it was not going to get any better, my mate abandoned me to go be with my best friend. I can barely feel that I am a wolf.

I walked through the open road which led to the woods. I had no idea where I was headed, it was dark and everywhere looked creepy.

There was no need to look for a way out of this mess. I could just end it so I no longer have to feel the pain of rejection because I know that everywhere I go I would still be rejected, I cannot go rogue, I do not have my wolf yet.

I looked around, I was walking on the bridge. I could go into the woods and get killed by some animals, it would be good or maybe I could jump off this bridge and end my life.

I fell to the ground crying, no one deserved to go through all the pain that I had gone through. I held up my knees and I sat on the side of the road.

The pain of rejection stuck in my heart, I wanted it to go away.

I looked down at the bridge, it was high and I would surely die from it.

This is your chance, Roselyn, end this pain now. I stood on my feet and held onto the rail of the bridge.

I closed my eyes and took deep breaths.

“This is for the best, the moon goddess made a mistake bringing you to the world.“ tears fell from my eyes, and I let go of the rail and fell.

The beeping sound of a monitor woke me from my slumber, my eyes were weak and my vision was blurry. I could barely make out what I saw.

Was I finally dead? I questioned myself.

“She’s waking up.” The voice of a female said and suddenly a few people clustered around me, I could hear and I could feel but my sight was too blurry to make out what their faces looked like, they were in white dresses so it was only fair that I believed I was in heaven.

“She’s awake, check her vitals.” A male voice blurted out and immediately they started touching me, checking my eyes and my body.

I was in a hospital, I got saved by someone.

“How do you feel, hello, can you hear me?” I gave a light grunt and I nodded softly.

I made a move to sit up and the nurses around helped me sit up right on the bed.

“How do you feel?” I could finally make out some faces.

“My head hurts.”

“Her vitals are normal.”

“She looks okay.”

“What am I doing here?” I asked, touching my head as I tried to recall what had happened after I jumped off the bridge.

“You should be lucky you were saved by this lovely couple and brought here on time.” He looked at me with a bit of disgust in his eyes, why wouldn’t he, I had tried to end my own life.

“I’ll let the couple come in to see you and when the test results are out I’ll let you know when you can get discharged.” With that, the doctor walked out of the ward and after the nurses had done whatever they did to the monitor, they walked out of the room leaving me all alone.

I sat in there for a while thinking about how messed up I was.

“Roselyn you tried to end your life?” I questioned myself as I sat in the room soliloquizing, the door of the hospital room opened and a lady with brown, a beautiful face, looked like she was in her early fifties.

“Hey dear.” She had a pleasant smile on her face.

“Can we come in?” I nodded and she pushed the door open and a not so older man walked into the room.

They both looked beautiful together.

“How are you doing?” The lady sat right beside my bed and she asked.

“I’m doing well.” I noticed the man hadn’t said a word to me since he got into the room, only his wife spoke.

“Dear, we are glad you're safe now. We don’t know why you wanted to end your life but we are happy you were given a chance. Everyone deserves a chance at life.” She held my hand as I lay on the bed.

“Thank you so much.” I wiped my eyes.

“My pleasure dear.”

“Not everyone thinks people deserve a second chance.” I cried so bad. I didn’t want to cry but I had no choice.

“Even the worst of people deserve a second chance after their repentance, girl.” The voice of the man came, I turned to where he stood, he had a blank face and a bit of grayish hair, and his words did carry a lot of weight.

“Love yourself. I’ll be out, I’ll give you two some time to speak. I hope you get better.” He finally gave a smile and immediately walked out of the room.

“Do you mind sharing?” I blinked my eyes to take back the tears. I had cried so much and it would make them think I was vulnerable. Yes, I was.

I dug my hand in my hair, ruffling it when she stopped my hand.

“What’s on your hand?” She was asking about the birthmark I had on the side of my hand.

I rolled my eyes, it was not the first time someone was asking me something about it.

“It’s a birthmark.”

“Oh really?” She asked and I nodded.

“Yeah, it’s one of the many things that remind me that I don’t have a pack.”

“What does that mean?”

“I don’t have a pack. I was found by the borders of the Rabid Shadow Pack when I was little.

All I know about my pack is this little pendant.” I took the pendant out of my neck and I showed it to her. If I was going to tell her a lot about me then I would start from where I was abandoned by my family, there was nothing to hide, after all, they were kind enough to save me, unlike the one who is my mate.

“Can I see that?” She squinted her eyes and I nodded then took it completely from my neck.

“The Red Crystal.” She gasped.

“Roselyn?”

“Yes, that’s my name. That's the name seen at the back of the pendant and the caretaker had me keep it for remembrance. She said it would help me find my family. Do you know which pack this belongs to?” Her mouth was wide open and she looked at the pendant for a while, her eyes went up to me scrutinizing me like I was some sort of book.

“Roselyn Black.” She gasped and her eyes said it all, she knew me.

“Do you know me?” I asked.

“The BirthMark, the Crystal.”

“If I am not mistaken, Dear, then you are my daughter.” She said and now it was my turn to gasp.

“What?”

“Darren, Darling please come in here.” She called for her husband.

Mirabel: My eyes opened and I blinked up to find that I was in a small room. I shot up from my bed, wondering where the hell I was. I tried to rack my brain on how I had gotten here and I soon realized that I had been shot. I remember Michael begging me to go downstairs and the last thing I remembered was getting it be an arrow. I found my phone on a small dresser and quickly plucked it. I walked over to the door and tried to open it but it seemed to be locked from the outside. Impatient, I broke down the door and ran out of the room, I came out through the back door of the safe house and climbed out of it and into the garden. I could no longer here the sound of gun shots which was weid because I had already been out for one hour thirty minutes. Regardless, if the battle was over, someone would have come get us. I ran as fast as I could to the packhouse and as soon as I got there, I took one of the car keys and drove to the border. My heart was beating in my chest as thought

Jackson: I groaned, pain shooting through my arms as an arrow shot through it. I glanced back to find Ezra's beta smiling maniacally at me. Ezra was no longer in the vicinity. I started to walk towards him, my gun pointed at him. I was about to pull the trigger when a bullet came shooting through his head. He fell to the ground with a thud and behind him, looking down at him was Klein. I gave a little nod and went back to fighting. It had been a full two hours since the battle started and I had lost more men than I cared to admit. Somehow, Noah's army had shown up. At first, I thought they were going to join Ezra's army but when they'd been shooting at Ezra's men, I realized that they'd come to join us. But even Noah's men were not enough for Ezra's men. It was like they kept multiplying but we weren't about to back down. Hours later, we were still fighting but my men were reducing in number. A car zoomed towards us and a single soldier belonging to Ezra's pack ju

Mirabel: I watched as Jackson jumped into the fierce battle, shooting at Ezra's men. He'd come out of nowhere while I was watching the battle unfold up the tower close to the fence I had no idea what he'd been doing before but from his entrance, he'd seemed determined and I was scared as hell for his life. Where the hell was Claudia? I groaned. I was starting to shiver just watching from the sidelines worried to death. Where on earth was this stupid witch?? She was the only hope I had now. I had nothing but her. She'd said she'd be here in an hour but that was twenty minutes ago. Ezra's men didn't seem to be giving up. They were fierce and determined while our men were determined but injured, not to mention, weak as hell. There was only one thing I could do now and that was pray to the moon goddess that Claudia arrives before it's too late. The loud sound of a whistle blew and I peeped through the high tower window to find an army I didn't recognize marching towar

Mirabel: 7 years ago… I still couldn't believe that Jackson had broken up with Selena for Roselyn. It didn't make sense to me. What was so special about her? I paced my room waiting for Klein so I could tell him about my new plan to get rid of Roselyn. He was late again as always and it irritated the shit out of me. I had brought it up a few times but he'd just said that he was busy with Jackson. The door to my bedroom opened and Klein walked in. "You are late again!" I yelled at him He looked at me with tired eyes and I couldn't help but feel ignored. "What? Got nothing to say for yourself?" I asked, walking up to him and glaring daggers at him. "I'm sorry. I was with your brother all day, performing my duties as the Beta of the pack." He said with a sarcastic undertone. I gave him an irritated look and he shrugged and dropped his bag. "Klein, what's the meaning of this" "Meaning of what?" He asked in an exasperated tone. "Meaning of your recent behaviors o

Mirabel: "Selene!" I yelled as I entered the pack house, anger taking over my entire body the more I advanced into the house. "Where the hell are you, Selene?!" I called out again. It had taken a two-hour flight and Noah's army to fight off Ezra's men. It had been a fierce battle… They'd almost penetrated the pack but we'd gotten here on time and our neighboring pack had helped us out. I still couldn't believe Ezra and Selene were lovers. It boggled my mind when Henet told me what he'd heard on the phone. Bugging the pack house has been a great idea. I was finding it difficult to make sense of everything. "She's in the dungeon," Henet's voice echoed from somewhere in the room. "Henet! You are here!" I ran up to hug him. He'd been the reason I had been able to stop the war and the taking over of the pack. "Thank you so much,” I said, holding him tightly. "You are welcome, Miss Mira." He smiled. "Is this him?" Jackson asked as soon as I let go of him. "Yes, this

Roselyn: I stared in disbelief at the scene before me. I had been on my way to the temple after trying to convince Noah once again to return the staff but he’d refused when I realized I forgot to tell him thank you. I had walked back only to find him kissing Mirabel. Mirabel and Noah? I couldn't believe my eyes. I wasn't sure what to feel. It seemed so odd. "Roselyn, I can explain," Noah's eyes widened as he separated from Mirabel and walked towards me. I moved backward, not sure what to think. "You don't have to explain anything to me, Noah, I'm just confused as to why Mirabel?" I asked. The pair was so unlikely, it seemed ridiculous. "Why are you guys not in church!" The priest came out of nowhere. We all glanced at him. "Come on, the congregation is waiting for you." He said and ordered us all to go to the hall. ***** I was seated in the hall feeling like I was crazy. I felt incredibly awkward. Seated next to Noah were about to get married and I had
