Chapter 3: A Twisted Lie?

Chapter 3: A Twisted Lie?

Lisa stormed out of his mansion, one hand clinging to the arm of her handbag while the other laid on her face stopping the tears storming her vision from wetting her cheeks.

She arrived inside her car, throwing the bag to the seat beside her as she clasped her palms against the wheel while giving in to her sadness.

She bit on her lower lips with her eyes reeling close dwelling in the pain hurting her emotionally.

She really doesn’t deserve this, after everything she’s been through, an heartbreak shouldn’t have added to the list. Why did this have to happen to her again?

She really thought she had gotten her happy ending didn’t she? Not knowing it was a dream she took long before waking up from. Kurt was never going to give her that and she should have known before signing her life up in love with him.

“Fuck you Kurt! Fuck you!” She vented out loud while slapping the wheel repeatedly with tears tumbling down her cheeks.

“I fucking hate you!” She kept on slapping, letting out her rage supported with pain. “I will never forgive you for this. I will never…” she bursted into fresh sobs with her head falling low against the wheel as she weeped on.

After some minutes she pulled her head back straight, heaving a deep sigh before reaching to the drawer provided inside the car and in front of the seat where her handbag was.

She took out a tissue roll, rolling a piece over her hand and wiping it all over her face ridding the fluids secreted by her eyes from crying too much.

“I’m gonna make sure you pay for this Kurt. I’m gonna make sure of that, if he decides the only thing I’m worth is pain then I will get happiness from watching him suffer.” Lisa said to herself in an assuring tone, determination glinting from her eyes.

She sniffed squeezing the roll into a circled paper and disposing it outside through her car window not minding it’s a litter to the compound.

She stepped on the car’s ignition as she drove herself out of the mansion. Her eyes unable to hide her pain with the red tint that painted it.

Her gaze on her surroundings was sullen while she kept conscious of her driving. Her phone started ringing, looking beside her the ringing seems to be coming from inside her handbag.

She leaned to the side, one hand dipping into the handbag with the other handling the wheel. Her gaze on the road was unsteady as she tried to obtain her phone while driving.

The road ahead of her seemed clear so she gave the ringing phone her full attention, thus leaning fully in search of the phone before she finally obtained it.

The caller was Kurt and before she could end it the call ended itself.

A loud horn sounded interrupting her hiss and initiating an alerted expression on her face as she glanced up to see herself driving on the other lane totally unaware of herself branching.

She was heading to collide straight with a coming vehicle.

Lisa quickly stepped on the brake but it was too late as she had already kissed with the bigger vehicle.

The loud noise of the crashing cars were vivid. Lisa inside the car felt herself bumping up with her head hitting hard against her wheel before bumping back to balance as her eyes closed letting darkness pass on her consciousness.

The other party engaged in the accident appeared fine from the incident, he took off his seatbelt gazing through his rear front glass to see the lady inside the other car losing consciousness.

He rubbed his hurting head soothing himself of the budding sensation of pain before stepping out of his car.

He came out inspecting the damage done more clearly to see his Jeep was not that damaged, but the total opposite for the second vehicle.

He rushed over to the other car, pulling open the door as he quickly unbelt the unconscious lady.

“Ma’am are you okay?” He asked, tapping gently on her cheek but got no response. He concluded instantly that she needs medical attention.

Hence, he brought her out of the car via bridal style as he took her straight into his own vehicle, fitting her into a seat and securing her with a belt.

He rushed to the driver’s seat, setting off the motion and speeding straight to the nearest hospital.

The strange man was in hurry, taking numerous glances at Lisa while at the same time focusing on the road.

Minutes later, he arrived at the hospital getting Lisa admitted and tended to by the medical staffs.

They had fixed on her an oxygen, while running a test to check on her vitals with a nurse already attending to the cut invented by the accident on her head.

After awhile, Lisa opened her eyes back to conscious to see herself laid on the bed with the blinding white light of the room’s bulb itching her vision.

Her eyes squinted, examining the whole room till her eyes landed on a man seated on a chair with his head bent.

“Where are mine?” She immediately questioned, driving attention from the seated man into standing up and moving closer to her.

“Hi, I’m Leonard, you can call me Leo. You were involved in an accident with me and you passed out, I also brought you here.” He explained to her, giving her a soft smile.

Lisa looked up to his face, his handsome smile modifying his flawless face. She had always thought Kurt is the most handsome guy on earth, but this strange man right here said otherwise.

His gleaming golden eyes, well trimmed brows, pointed nose, neatly waxed and combed hair.

He was perfectly set and enticingly shaped. Lisa was stuck inspecting his appearance, zoning out on the conversation.

“Are you okay?” Leo had to snap his fingers to bring her back.

“Yes.” She blinked looking away from him. “Oh my God, an accident. My baby!” The realization hit her as she touched her stomach.

“Is my baby okay? Get the doctor! Please go get the doctor! Please!” Lisa screamed out as tears gathered underneath her lashes, her hand massaging her stomach as she silently prayed nothing is wrong with her pregnancy.

“Are you pregnant?”

“Get the doctor!”

Leo rushed out of the room immediately. Lisa stared down at her stomach, tears already strolling down her eyes as she wondered the safety status of the little life inside of her.

“Please be okay, please.” She whispered out, she recalled back to how she got into the mess.

It was Kurt! He called her and this happened, after everything he had done to her already. He really is bent on destroying her life. Why can’t he just leave her alone? Is it until she’s dead that he would get the hint everything is over between them.

“I swear to God Kurt, if anything happens to my baby. I’m never going to forgive you and I will make sure I kill you with my bare hands just like you killed my baby.” Lisa swore to herself while wiping off the tears stained on her cheeks.

The door opened with Leo returning with the doctor. They both came in, “She’s awake.” Leo announced once more.

“Doctor I need you to check on my baby, is anything wrong with her? I need you to check her for me please. I need to know if she’s okay or not, I hope the accident I had didn’t affect her in anyway or-“

“Ma’am you have to calm down. I need to know what you’re talking about, what baby? Mr Leonard only brought you in, there was no little girl with you.” The male doctor cut in Lisa’s rambling as he mentioned, putting a ghost face on Lisa as she tried to understand his words.

“Yeah I think she’s talking about her pregnancy not an actual baby.” Leonard made the correction from where he stood.

“Pregnancy? I think there’s some kind of confusion here, because I found no trace of pregnancy while testing you Ms Lisa.” The doctor clarified.

“What?” Lisa exclaimed in a low tone. “What do you mean there’s no pregnancy?”
