Kiara Pov

I'm going to my brother's office now but I haven't entered yet when I hear his angry voice. Before I could turn the door, it opened and his secretary came out crying, making me startled, it seemed like I knew what happened again.

I just went straight inside and found my brother standing with a glass full of wine in his hand.

"What happened, brother?" I asked him.

"She's stupid, that's all," he answered me briefly.

"And I'm sure you've already fired him, what are you doing brother, how many more secretaries do you have!" I snort at him.

"He won't be fired if he fixes the job, I told him several times to focus on work but put the entertainment first."

I held my breath, I know my brother when the talk is about work, he’s serious.

"You’re so hot-headed, you really get your attitude to Dad . And why are you drinking? It's too early." I asked him.

“It's just a little bit of a stress reliever. Anyway, why are you here?”

"I'm just bored so I decided to visit you here."

"You should just work here at the company if you're not doing anything."

"I do not want to! I have my boutique already bro and I told you I don't want to work for the company." I complained which made him laugh.

"Then focus on it and stop bothering me."

I just rolled my eyes at him. "I am brother, so how are you now? You don't have a secretary." I promise.

"I can handle it. I don't need one if she can't do her job. I will not waste my time and money on useless people.”

I just shook my head because of what my brother said. I'm used to his behavior and even though he's arrogant I can say that he is the best brother I have, since our parents were gone he's been the one who stood up being my mom and dad and he never left me.

I stayed in his office for a few hours before saying goodbye and leave because my brother went back to work. I was about to get into my car when I saw a familiar woman, so I approached her because it looked like she was fighting with the guards.

"What's going on here?" I asked.

They immediately looked at me. "Good morning Ma'am Kiara, we forbid her here because it's not allowed." a guard answered me while pointing at the woman.

"You should have told me in a nice way  and I will understand it. I won't be here long  because I'm just waiting for someone before leaving." the woman answered.

"Let her, I'll take care of it and you go back to your place," I ordered the guards.

The woman looked at me. "Thank you very much, ma'am," she promised.

"I think you don't remember me anymore, am I right? I was the one you helped in the park.” I said.

Her eyes widened when she realized what I said. "Ma'am K-Kiara?" she exclaimed.

"What are you doing here? I told you not to call me Ma'am, just Kiara." I said while laughing.

"I'm sorry I didn't recognize you."

I smiled. "That's okay. Why are you here?" I asked her again.

"I just passed by and it was so hot that I stopped for a while. I'm going to visit my mother at the hospital."

"If you want, I'll take you there." my suggestion.

She quickly shook her head. "Oh no need, it's so embarrassing."

"I insist," I said and pulled her to the car.

Beatrice was quiet while we were in the car, she also pointed out to me which hospital her mother was in. "What happened to your mom?" I asked her.

"She is sick, so the hospital has almost become her home," she answered with a laugh.

"That's why you do a lot of work, but isn’t it so tiring?" I asked.

She nodded. "I don't have any other choice because I'm the only one who can work, so there's no place for me to get tired and rest because we need money to spend every day. Why were you at the Alcantara Company earlier?"

"I just visited my brother." my short answer.

"Does your brother work there?"

"Yes, he is the CEO," I answered and noticed the masculinity in her eyes.

"Why?" I asked her.

"Y-you mean?"

I couldn't stop myself from laughing because of her reaction. "I'm sorry, you only know me by my name. And to answer your question, yes, my brother is the CEO of that company. I'm Princess Kiara Alcantara.” I said.

"That's why you have a resemblance to the owner of that company because he is your brother."

I laughed because of what she said. "Do you know him?" I asked her again.

"I haven't seen him in person, only in interviews and magazines. Many people are saying that he is so serious."

"He is really serious in everything because he is too focused on the company. When he was just studying in college, he was doing training at the same time, so almost all of his time was devoted to the company." I explained to her.

"Because your brother is so hard working that is why your company is so successful."

Later we arrived at the hospital. "Thank you very much Kiara," she said.

"Can I come?" I asked her.

"A-are you sure?"

"Yes, as I told you I don’t have any schedule today, so I’m free,” I answered her.

She nodded to me and we went inside together. When we got to the room where Beatrice's mother was, I was surprised because there was a doctor and nurses who looked worried, so we quickly approached them.

"Doc. what's going on?" Beatrice asked.

"We are monitoring your mother because her heartbeat weakened again earlier. She needs to be operated on as soon as possible before her condition worsens.” the doctor said.

"How much will the surgery cost?" Beatrice asked.

"One and a half million you need to prepare for the surgery and the medicines your mother needs."

"Please do everything to save my mother. I will find money to pay for the surgery." Beatrice cried.
