Kiara POV

It's been a week since Nigel left and as he told me at the airport, he calls often, sometimes late because of his meetings one after another and I understand that. I do tell him that when he's tired, he should just rest and it's okay if he can't call right away, but what I say doesn't seem to have any effect on him.

During the days that I don't see him, I do what he says. I need to help myself to forget my complicated past. It's not easy, but it's necessary to do so that I can be completely fine.

My brother reopened the case about what happened to me before and he will talk to the police when we get home because that's what Nigel wants the person who did all this to me to pay.

They don't believe that all this is a coincidence, they think that someone may have ordered them to do that thing to me.

"You always seem to be in a good mood since Nigel left,' I looked at my brother who had just arrived.

"And you are always ruining my day, brother," I said to him.

"Because you have s
