“Don’t you get it?” Ron stood up. “Vathar is in danger. All these years, being around you has kept his demonic side dormant. Your magic suppressed it, made him human but you two were apart for a whole week. Your magic must have weakened.”

Eron frowned, shaking his head. “No. That’s not possible. I sealed that part of him myself. Even if we’re apart, it can’t just…crack or break. I mean, it is a powerful seal.”

“That’s where you’re wrong,” Ron said sharply. “The seal isn’t absolute. It was never meant to be permanent. Come on, Eron, he is the child of the last Dark Lord. His power grows stronger with every passing minute. Only your power, which is the foundation of that seal, can suppress it. Most especially because he trusts you and lets his guard down around you. The farther apart you are, the more the seal weakens. And when that happens, his powers leak out. Maybe he has even noticed.” He squatted and held Eron by the shoulders. “Think, Eron. When you last saw him, how did he look?

  • Becoming the Elf King's bride   Chapter 359

Ron, Eron, and Alaric arrived at the forest some minutes after Vathar left. They searched until they came upon a spot where the grass was still wet with blood and Ron crouched low, brushing his fingers through the glistening red streaks staining the blades. It was fresh but only slightly warm.“He’s close,” he said, voice grim. “But we have to hurry.”They all broke into a run, following the blood trail, but just beyond the trees, they were brought to a jarring stop by the horrid stench of blood.Three corpses lay strewn across the narrow path like discarded dolls. Torn and mangled, faces twisted in agony. Their ribcages were cracked open, a few organs missing, limbs bent at impossible angles. As if a wild animal had torn through them. They all froze, and for a moment, no one spoke. Dread slithered into their hearts like smoke, chills running up their spines.Ron turned slowly to Eron, his heart sinking. The god stood still, staring at the mutilated bodies as if his mind couldn’t make

  • Becoming the Elf King's bride   Chapter 357

Eron appeared at another part of the earth. The sky churned with clouds so dark they turned day to night. Wind screamed through towns, ripping trees from their roots and tossing horses and carriages like toys. Towering waves—no, not waves, huge walls of water surged toward the town and they weren't slowing down. Eron gasped, staring at the water for he had never seen a disaster so large. Even all the disasters that he had stopped since he knew Vathar, combined, could not amount to this one and he didn't know the cause. He stretched his hands toward the heavens, eyes glowing light blue with power as he tried to control the waves, tried to send them back but it wasn’t working. Hurricanes kept forming, each one more furious than the last, feeding the tsunami with winds that defied logic. Houses were being destroyed. People were dying and Eron began to panic. He tried to concentrate, to forget the words Vathar had just uttered to him, to ignore the searing pain in his heart but all he

The rain came down in a soft drizzle, turning the cobbled path into a shimmering mirror of silver light. Vathar stood there, soaked, staring at Eron as though trying to memorize every detail—his trembling lashes, the way his green robe clung to his form, and those luminous crystal blue eyes filled with confusion and hope.“Vathar?” Eron whispered, stepping forward. It had been a little over a week since they met. He noticed that his lover had become thin, and haggard. “Why did you ask me to come here? What’s going on?” Vathar swallowed and took a few steps back, not wanting to be close to Eron. Despite the distance, he could still smell the god's sweet smelling skin and the delicious fruity scent of his essence. It made his canines ache with the need to sink them into his flesh. Then there was that hunger again, gnawing at the walls of his stomach. It had only been three hours but he felt like he would go crazy if he didn't eat something. Eron felt hurt when he saw that Vathar didn'

Later that evening, the emergency bell of the town tolled. It was loud, shrill, and urgent. Vathar hadn't gone to see Eron in days and was among the many who rushed to the town square to hear the news but the scene that greeted them stole the breath from his lungs. Five bodies were laid out before them, half-eaten, mangled, and torn. Their flesh hung in ribbons and their bones were shattered. Their faces were unrecognisable but judging by their clothes, they were townspeople who had gone to the neighboring towns for business. How did they end up like this? “Demons…” He heard some people whisper. “It's the work of demons.” A lot of people began to retch from the sight and the stink. Most women fainted and others turned away, unable to bear the terrible sight of people they once knew like that. Vathar staggered back in horror, but it wasn’t the gore that made him do so. It was the scent. He couldn't smell the usual fishy stench of blood or the pungent stink of rot, rather, i

  • Becoming the Elf King's bride   Chapter 354

Zedekiel’s upper body was nothing short of sculpted perfection. His chest was broad, taut with lean muscle that flexed subtly with every breath. His abdomen was sharply defined and Prince Ron could count eight packs. The Celestial Zedekiel was certainly ripped! Veins curled up the length of his forearms as he held Ron possessively close, his biceps straining ever so slightly with restrained strength. Prince Ron nearly squealed, slapping both hands over his mouth. Ahh he felt jealous of his past self. He wished he could touch those arms, just a little you know. Trace those veins and feel the strength emanating from those bulging muscles. Surely his past self wouldn't mind right? After all, they were the same person. Just a different timeline. When he gets back, he would surely make his beloved exercise more! His eyes scanned every inch of his past beloved's torso then his gaze drifted lower. Wait, was his past beloved bigger than his present beloved down there? He sneaked away from
