Chapter 04

“Oh, poor wife, she doesn't know what her husband's doing!” Leon said while they were very focused on watching the drama series on television.

“Don't worry, Leon. Because she will discover it soon. You know that there's no secret that can't be revealed.” Baron said.

He's a utility staff at the restaurant, and he simply glanced at Patrice, who was also staring at him also.

“Why do you look at me like that?” highbrow the maiden said to him. But he just ignored her and just continued mopping the floor.

Baron is one of Patrice's haters. It seemed as if it was constantly heating her up, and sometimes she even caught him looking at her.

However, she doesn't pay much attention to him anymore. Instead, she just thinks that he might have a secret crush for her.

“That show is really annoying! why should we wait until tomorrow? His wife will soon caught them. Jeez, If i were his wife, i will dip his woman's face in buffalo's poop.”

Leon was pissed off with the drama he was watching while Patrice was quietly looking at them, and she's even surprised by what she heard.

Meanwhile, Baron turned to her and simply smiled.

“Leon, if i were the mistress, I might be trembling with fear right now. Especially when i hear that you're just going to wipe my face with buffalo dung, aren't you Ma'am Patrice?” at the same time, the girl looked in shock when Baron suddenly called her.

“Huh?” She said once she avoided looking at the mischievous young man.

“Ma'am Patrice, what are you going to do if you find out that your husband is cheating on you?” Leon asked the girl and some of their co-workers approached her, and they all seemed to be waiting for her to answer him.

She was restless and looked around at the faces of the people in front of her. She's sweating profusely and nervous. Furthermore, she then felt that she was deliberately put in that situation. She took a little longer to answer because she didn't know what she should answer Leon's question. Fortunately, Rohan came suddenly, so they left immediately and returned to their respective jobs.

“Lucky!” Baron whispered as he passed in front of the girl. Patrice's gaze followed him, and she raised an eyebrow when she heard the young man.

“Good Morning everyone!” Rohan greeted them happily while he was just looking at Patrice.

“Good morning too, sir. Rohan. Looks like you're delighted now?”  Baron joked, but Rohan just smiled at him and ignored him.

“By the way, Ms. Patrice, can you bring to my office the list of new recipes that we will replace in the menu?” He commands her.

Supposedly the recipe list is just an excuse, but his motive is really something else.

The young man whispered in his mind as he also simply glanced at Rohan and Patrice.

“Okay, sir.” Patrice answered lazily and immediately went inside the kitchen to get what Rohan ordered her.

As Rohan went up the stairs to his office.

Just a few minutes later, Patrice climbed up, carrying some papers.

“Why it's getting hotter here?” said Baron as she passed in front of him.

She paused for a moment and angrily turned to the young man.

“Why Ma'am?” dead maliciously said Baron.

She just closed her eyes and entered Rohan's office.

“Hey! Baron, can you imagine what I'm thinking now?” at the same time, Leon appeared in front of him.

“What the heck? Have you been there before?” he said, and he just resumed sweeping the floor.

“What do you think will happen next?” He asked. 

Baron thought about Leon's question. He couldn't figure out what he really meant. Is it the drama in the show they were watching before, or the secret he knew about the two?

He stopped sweeping for a moment and placed his elbow on the head of the reed broom.

“Don't worry because she's a smart woman, and she's not easily to fool about.”

After saying that, he immediately took the reed broom and left Leon alone. Meanwhile, the young man followed him by gaze and scratched his head.

Rohan was greeted by a crowd of people when he saw an ambulance and a patrol outside their house.

He was shocked when he saw the yellow warning sign affixed to their gate. He was suddenly nervous and quickly got out of his car.

“What's going on here? Why are you in front of my house?” he inquired to some policeman outside.

“Are you Mrs. Nadia's wife?” a police officer asked him.

“Yes, I'm his wife. Why did you ask? And you haven't answered what I'm asking you.” He said.

He looked around, and he felt something bad had happened inside their house. So, he couldn't stand it anymore, and he immediately went inside their house.

“Nadia! Nadia! Nadia!” he repeatedly called his wife's name.

Several policemen followed him inside their house and his eyes widened when he saw his wife lying on the sofa unconscious.

“Nadia!” he shouted, and then he immediately approached her and held her hand.

“Nadia, wake up! I'm already here, my love. Who the hell did this to you?” cried he said, but there were no tears in his eyes.

“Don't worry mister because she's just resting. By the way, I'm Philip Alvarez, and he's with me, Linda Perez. We are the registered police in charge in the case that happened here in your house today and also to your wife.” Philip introduced himself and at the same time they showed Rohan their identification.

“What really happened here?” He asked them kindly.

“Robbery, what happened here in your house. Your wife tried to fight against robberies, so she also got some scars on her body. She also felt shock because of what happened, she lost consciousness.” Philip explained.

“But you don't have to worry anymore because her condition is stable, and we are protecting you now.” Even Linda.

“Is that so?” all Rohan said as he looked around the inside of their house.

Each of their belongings was scattered everywhere, and there were cracked flower vases on the floor. Their large window glass was also broken, as well as the wedding picture of the couple.

“By the way, you should thank those who dared to help your wife earlier with the hostage takers.” 

Rohan suddenly looked at what Linda had told him.

“Help?”

“Yes, he's the one who helped your wife.”

Linda points to the man standing behind Rohan. 

Rohan, on the other hand, slowly turned around and stood up in shock when he saw what it meant to him.

“You?” he said in shock, and his eyes almost widened.

“It's me sir. Rohan!” the young man chuckled.

He shook hands with Baron, but his mind wandered about the young man.

He couldn't believe that of all the people he would see there, it was Baron. Likewise, he had a strong suspicion that he knew something about his relationship with Patrice. She further complained to him that she was constantly being hated by him so that he was restless and seemed to feel cold with extreme nervousness.

“So, you're the brave one they're referring to me?” his most solemn told to Baron.

“Your welcome sir!” He replied, smiling as the two of them shook hands tighter and tighter.

“Did you know each other?”

When they heard Linda, they immediately let go of each other hands.

“Of course! We know each other very well. Baron is my most reliable employee of all!” when Rohan said that, he suddenly put his arm around the young man.

He looked at Rohan, and he grinned at his lips.

“Sir. Rohan, he's the kind who cares and loves all his employees. Isn't it, sir?” he said mischievously, even though he wanted to inform someone else.

He immediately got the young man's point, so he immediately removed his arm with Baron.

“Ah i see, by the way, can we talk to Baron for a while? We have some more questions for him about what happened earlier.” Philip said with a smile.

“Of course! Yes. Go ahead Baron, come with them first.” At the same time, he patted the young man's back. Baron sniffed and simply approached Rohan.

“Why?" he asked the young man.

Baron smiled again and whispered it in his ear.

 It was only a moment, but Rohan's eyes widened at what he heard. Baron also tapped him on the shoulder and whispered to leave.

Meanwhile, Rohan slowly turned his back on his wife, Nadia. And he was shocked to see that she was watching him. He immediately averted his eyes from his wife and turned again in Baron's direction. Baron turned to him while chewed bubblegum in his mouth.

“Watch out. Do you think she knows nothing?”

What Baron whispered to him.
