LOGINMy dormmate invites me to a college mate's engagement party. I choose an expensive tailor-made gown for the occasion. When I arrive at the hotel, I see several of my former classmates are already there. Everyone looks like they're doing well—they're wearing expensive clothing. Someone is even wearing something from a luxury brand. As soon as I enter the private room, a familiar classmate rolls her eyes at me. "Look at who it is—the woman who was once the most outstanding student in our class. You're dressed so plainly for such an important occasion." Everyone is circled around the classmate who's wearing something from a luxury brand. They ignore me. Only our former class monitor clinks glasses with me and consoles me softly. "It's good enough that you're here. You're dressed plainly, but don't give up. You'll succeed one day." I sip my wine and smile. "My outfit may not be too opulent, but it's an expensive, tailor-made piece. It's 100% handcrafted by a master designer."

“Jacob Huxley!” I cried out my mate’s name as hot tears began rolling down my face, burning my cheeks. How could he possibly do this to me?
To make matters worse, even after yelling out his name, he still didn’t stop what he was doing. Instead I was made to watch with blurry eyes as He continued slamming himself into the body of a lady who was supposedly my ‘best friend.’
“Elora!” I yelled at her, hoping that maybe she would at least be different, maybe she would do better, she was my best friend for fucks sake!
“Oh, shut up!” She snarled back; her eyes looked angry, she was obviously irritated by me and it shocked me.
Jacob slowly got off her, pulled on his pants and turned to look at me. My heart immediately sank at the expression in his loath filled eyes, for he looked at me like I was some sort of shit, some burden He has been forced to carry.
Fresh tears sprang into my eyes when I thought of the effort I had put into choosing my outfit this morning simply because I wanted to look good for him. To look good for this no good cheating piece of shit who was cheating on me with my best friend!
I averted my gaze to Elora, who in turn shot me a very cold glare that sent chills to my spine. Hurt was an understatement for what I felt right now.
The worst part of it all was the annoying smug looks they had on their faces which gave me the impression that they had anticipated this.
“What are you doing here?” Jacob asked slowly, his voice was cold and void of any emotions.
“I want an explanation of what is happening here!” I snapped, standing up to my full height- which didn’t amount to much- as I spoke. “Tell me how long this has been happening under my nose.” I snarled, brushing off the tears that seeped out of my eyes angrily.
I couldn’t afford to turn into a cry baby right in front of them; I couldn’t give them that satisfaction..
Elora wrapped her hands around his neck and smirked wickedly at me; “You sure you really want to know? Don’t you think the realization would hurt you more than you already are right now, best friend?” She asked, emphasizing on the word 'best friend'.
“What could possibly hurt me more than this, Elora? Absolutely nothing!.” I seethed, desperately holding onto myself to stop from bursting into tears.
“You thought wrong, sweetheart.” She chuckled.
Jacob smiled at her, but then immediately returned to his steely expression as soon as we locked gaze again.
“How long has this been on?” I asked again, came this time.
“For a few months.” Jacob answered, glaring at me, and they laughed.
My heart suddenly felt like it had been ripped off my chest and stomped on until it shattered into a thousand pieces. I couldn’t breathe, couldn’t bring myself to.
I couldn’t believe that the two people I had trusted the most in my life could betray me like this! Another fresh set of tears clouded my sight and when I wiped it off, I saw them kissing sloppily.
A kind of anger that I had never felt before scorched through me like a wildfire, consuming me whole until all I could think about was ripping their necks apart.
“It is obvious you have no shame! You two backstabbed me, yet you have the guts to continue in my presence. You don't have a conscience at all, and you'll pay for it.” I swore angrily.
“What am I paying for, exactly? Should I pay because you have nothing I want in a woman? You're too skinny and aren't girly enough, aside from the fact that you’re an Alpha’s daughter, you have nothing else.” He spat at me, making my heart break a little further.
I opened my mouth to speak, but words failed me. He held Elora's hand and they both stood, looking at me, looking as though I repelled them.
“But look at Elora, she has everything…” He said after a while, pausing to turn her naked body around as he spoke. “She is worthy to be called a woman. Oh, and she isn't an Omega.”
His words bit into my skin, numbing me for a millisecond. Never have I ever thought that he would use my status against me that it hurt like a bitch when he uttered those words.
“So, you feel nothing for me because I am an omega? That doesn't change the fact that I am still the Alpha's daughter.” I said, wiping away my tears.
“An Omega is the lowest ranked wolf. You, being the Alpha's daughter, change nothing. You're nothing and will always be nothing.” He spat.
The tears I fought so hard to hold in, came rolling down my face in torrents.
Elora giggled sluttily, casting a disdainful look my way. “You heard him right, baby girl. He doesn't rate you enough to want to be with you! You're nothing but a worthless Omega that would one day, be a slave!” She seethed with a proud grin on her face.
“And oh, did you think that your position as an Alpha’s daughter would make you always get what you want?” She laughed hysterically.
“Elora?” I called in disbelief, “really, you?”
“Sorry, but people change,” she replied, abs then turning to look at Jacob, she added; “Tell this… thing to get the fucking hell out of here.”
I gasped in shock. The hell?
“I will, after I’ve done the needful.” I saw his lips curve upwards and immediately, I paused my lips, already knowing what was coming at me. “I, Jacob Huxley, reject you, Audrey Raven, as my mate. From today henceforth, I cut off any bond I have with you.”
I gasped when suddenly I felt a sharp pain pierce through my heart at his declaration, breaking it more than it already was. I saw his eyes darken momentarily before he looked away from me and turned to Elora, who began kissing him intensely.
She pulled out from the kiss and grinned. When our eyes locked, she frowned; “The needful has been done, princess. Do our eyes a favor by getting out of here.” She thundered.
I couldn't move. It was like my legs were glued to the floor and had gone numb. This was someone I called a sister; someone I shared my darkest secrets with.
I still couldn’t believe that the same person could break my heart this way by sleeping with my mate.
The most painful part of it all is the realization that this isn’t the first time. In fact, they’ve been doing it for a while, but still acted like nothing was going on in my presence.
“You heard her. Get the hell out of here!” Jacob snapped, jolting me out of my train of thoughts.
Slowly, I turned and walked out of the room, leaving my legs to lead me to wherever. I could feel my wolf curled up in sadness; she was hurt too.
The feeling of rejection clawed at my chest, numbing me. I still couldn’t believe it. Never in my life did I think I would be betrayed this way.
This even wasn't how I thought mating and mate bonds worked. Everything I thought about it was wrong; it wasn't something that would make someone happy and live a fulfilled life; it only brought pain, heartbreak and hurt. It brought about everything that I was feeling right now.
I got to a pond and sat down. Looking around, I could tell there was no one around the vicinity, and so I wailed loudly, unafraid of being caught.
I wanted something that would take my mind off the betrayal I had just witnessed. I couldn’t help but think about what he had said about me being an omega, and couldn’t help but feel another pang of hurt course through my veins.
I am an Omega doesn't make me any less of a wolf. The Alpha is my father and I deserved respect too.
Not knowing where the sudden courage came from, I stood and wiped my face. I would face the challenges head on. I would prove to them that omegas were not as worthless as they thought...
I smiled—genuinely, even. But Mabel's dumbfounded expression told me she still hadn't grasped the severity of the situation."As expected of Silver Key Holdings' CEO! You recognized it in an instant. Your daughter, on the other hand, has no clue. Look. There's jam all over the cuff, too."Vixen's designs were always subtle. But she had a habit of embroidering her signature mark in discreet places—a touch of understated luxury that set her work apart. As I spoke, I kept an eye on Laurence's face. "So, Mr. Fairbank, since you understand the value of this outfit, do you still have a problem with how I handled things?"For the first time, Laurence's eyes snapped into focus. When he looked at me again, the shock on his face was unmistakable."There are only a handful of people in the world who can get a custom piece from Ms. Vixen. Who are you?"I smiled. "Take a guess."Mabel hadn't expected her proud father to be so polite to me. She pouted in dissatisfaction and shook his arm. "Da
"Hey, Celia! I just apologized to you. You should've accepted it and let it go. But no, you just had to push it! You're nothing but a small-time business owner trying to act tough. "Don't forget. This is Yorkdale City! So, here's the deal. Apologize to me right now, and maybe I'll let it slide. Otherwise, you're screwed when my dad gets here."She was talking complete nonsense. I couldn't help but curse at her, "Just shut up! You're like a pile of crap!"The instant my words landed, Mabel's face twisted in rage. She charged at me, hand raised, ready to strike. But the second she saw my bodyguards lined up in formation, she froze. Her confidence vanished in an instant. Crossing her arms over her chest, she stood there sulking, waiting for her father to come to her rescue.Daniel leaned in and asked quietly, "Boss, I can contact the mayor of Yorkdale City."I glanced at the Lincoln speeding toward us and smiled slightly. "No need for now. I want to have a nice little chat with
Judging by Mabel's expression, she probably wanted to crawl into a hole and disappear. She desperately covered herself while forcing a smile. "I'm so sorry. I didn't realize how valuable that outfit was. I'll compensate you—double… No! Ten times the price! "My father is the CEO of Silver Key Holdings, a well-known name in Yorkdale City. Could you maybe cut me some slack and let this go?"Daniel didn't even spare her a glance. "Silver Key Holdings' CEO? His so-called reputation means nothing to us."Hearing their exchange, I couldn't hold back a laugh. "Mabel, you still don't get it, do you? The CEO of Silver Key Holdings is nothing in front of me. You might as well give up."The color drained from Mabel's face in an instant. "Celia, I already apologized! I even offered compensation, so don't push this too far! If you let me go today, I promise I won't cause you trouble ever again. Isn't that enough? And besides… we were college classmates. Are you going to be this heartless?"
Mabel's eyes lit up the moment she saw the newcomers. She rushed out of the private room, flashing them her brightest, most charming smile."Gentlemen, do you have a reservation? I can arrange the most exclusive VIP suite for you."The man in the lead gave a slight nod but didn't seem the least bit interested in speaking to her.My classmates, who had been so loud just moments ago, suddenly fell silent. They had probably never seen anything like this in their entire lives.Meanwhile, I stepped forward calmly and stopped right in front of the man.Mabel, seeing my so-called rudeness, immediately snapped at me, "Are you blind? These are VIP clients. Get out of the way!"I glanced back at her. "I know they're VIP clients."Mabel's patience snapped completely. "Then, get lost! Do you have a death wish?"Well… someone was about to lose everything tonight. But it wasn't me."How exactly are they supposed to discuss this deal without me there?"At that moment, the man standing behin
