Chapter 4

After making all of these decisions, I let out a breath of relief. Then, I decided to head down to the bar Ethan owned to look for him.

Ethan's bar was called Moonlight Lounge. Once I reached the main entrance of the building, I saw Blaise, who was supposed to be recuperating in the hospital.

Blaise's arm was wrapped around Susie's waist, and the pair looked incredibly intimate.

When Blaise caught sight of me, he stopped caressing Susie's face and frowned.

"How did you find out about my whereabouts this time? Didn't I tell you to stop following me around?" he snapped in disdain.

His friends, who were standing behind him, began to laugh.

"Olivia literally follows Blaise wherever he goes. How devoted," one said.

"Devoted?" another one snapped. "Can't you see that it's pissing Blaise off? She's so clingy…"

"He already made it clear that he doesn't like her—why is she still throwing herself at him? You can't do whatever you want just because you're arranged mates, you know."

In Blaise's opinion, I was just a lapdog who was always in his way. Hence, he must've assumed I'd heard about his date with Susie and secretly followed them all the way here.

"I'm warning you, Olivia. We might be arranged mates, but—"

Before Blaise could finish his sentence, I walked into the bar without even batting an eye at him.

He instantly fell silent. After freezing for a moment, he reached out to grab my wrist and said, "Hey—I'm talking to you. Are you ignoring me?"

He continued, "Playing hard to get won't get you anywhere, Olivia. Your actions disgust me. I can't believe you made my parents go all the way to the Eastern Pack to discuss the mating arrangement. You even begged me to make you the future Luna of my pack."

I stared at him calmly and said, "I never said I wanted to be your mate."

"What? Do you think I'm stupid, Olivia?"

Furious, Blaise jabbed his finger at my face and barked, "You were the one who was threatening Susie to leave me."

He continued, "Truth be told, I only have eyes for Susie. I won't love you even if we become mates."

I laughed. "Okay then—I won't become your mate. You can stop worrying about this matter now."

"What are you talking about? First, you threaten my pack. Now, you're threatening me?" He yelled.

"This is all my fault," Susie interjected with a sweet voice. "I'm the problem. If I didn't upset Olivia, she wouldn't be giving you so much trouble. I'm sorry, Blaise."

Susie pushed Blaise away and acted as if she was about to leave. "I don't want to cause you any more problems, Blaise. I think it's best if we go our separate ways."

Blaise immediately pulled her into an embrace. "You are my one true love, Susie, I swear. No matter what happens, my feelings for you will never change.

"Please don't leave me. Just give me a little more time, and I'll make you the future Luna of the Silverwolf Pack."

Upon hearing Blaise's grand declaration of love, other werewolves whistled and began to call Susie "Luna".

"If my memory serves, you're not the Alpha of the Silverwolf Pack yet," I said coldly. "How are you so sure that I'll pick you as my future mate?"

"Stop it," Susie begged with tears in her eyes. "Why are you doing this, Olivia? Why are you being so mean? Blaise didn't even do anything wrong."

She continued, "Everyone in our pack knows about the arrangement, so you can drop the act now. As for the Rogues you sent after me, I'll just pretend the whole thing never happened.

"Please don't hurt Blaise. He's innocent…"

Susie was brilliant at acting. She was the one who set up the entire incident with the rogue wolves, not me. She only did it to get Blaise's attention and make me look bad.

Upon hearing this, Blaise hated me even more than he already did.

"You disgust me, Olivia. Keep Susie out of this!" he yelled.

I felt completely unfazed by how much the pair seemed to love each other. "Alright, I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness. I also hope that you mark each other soon."

Subsequently, I walked past Blaise and marched into the bar without so much as a backward glance.
