"Okay, our main priority for this mission is this large cave. As you've been told before we left the base, we are only here to scout and find if there are traces of the material we've been tasked to extract. The training and selection went on, Pulte was able to enter the defense force after completing the initial selection. After the first few parts of the selection, Pulte focused on getting accepted into the force without showing his full capabilities. With that, he slowly distanced himself away from other participants as well as Timothy Black. And with that, six months have already passed. "Ugh, I got in the force but why am I here of all places…" Pulte was assigned to the scout unit. They are composed of a few high level high humans that scout the areas near the fortress city. Going through the first phase of the selection, Pulte went and thought about not bringing his full powers out. He did not want to make himself stand out. He decided to atleast get in the top 10 individuals of the whole selection. The city is in a bad condition, the whole place is in a mess. There are sectors that are completely destroyed by the monsters and some sectors have minimal damage to them. With how late the disaster alert went off, the number of people who weren't lucky was awfully large. Even Pulte can't do anything about that. With him not exercising his powers for a long time may have dull his senses when it comes to sensing danger.
