Chapter 44. Cade starts the investigation

Callie peeked through the keyhole as the footsteps stopped right in front of the door. They could be heard talking outside.

"Cade Goldwin's sister?" A woman, she heard her voice say in a surprised tone. She had heard of the man's sister, but never heard the name or seen the person.

"That girl named Callie." A man's voice informed.

"But, she said she was the nanny of Cade's children."

Through a small crack in the keyhole, Callie could finally see the woman with difficulty. Unfortunately, her face was covered by a silver mask carved with the face of a smiling woman.

How cute! She tried to cover her face so as not to be recognized. But of course, Callie could guess for sure.

Pricilla. Her brother Cade's girlfriend. Who else? Wasn't the only person who thought Callie was the nanny girl Pricilla?

So, that silly girl was the mastermind behind their kidnapping? A sardonic smile was etched on Callie's lips.
