Chapter 25
Izzie startled awake, breathing hard.
She didn't know what had woken her as nothing was immediately apparent, maybe she had been having a nightmare.
The lights were dimmed right down in her hospital room and it almost felt cosy waking up this time.
She glanced at the clock only to see it was four in the morning.
She had only been asleep for about an hour at best. Jake must have left once she managed to drop back off as she was now alone.

Contrary to the nerves she felt stepping inside the house had been quite anti-climatic. It was dark and quiet inside, but everything looked pretty much the same as she'd left it, if not a little tidier. Cassius wasn't anywhere to be seen, which was relieving and alarming all at the same time. All the curtains in the house were drawn and all of them were blackout curtains so the only light that was coming in was coming down the walls underneath the curtains. The only sound to be heard was the low hum from the fridge in the kitchen.

The first thing to catch her eye was that tight grey T-shirt that seemed to cling onto every hard toned muscle but leaving just enough to the imagination.
