Loretta

I walked into Marcus’s office, and as usual, he was behind his desk going through a stack of papers. The desk looked as though he had been at it for hours, different files spread out, some clipped, some loose. I sat down in the chair opposite him, adjusting my jacket as I leaned back.

“Good evening, Marcus,” I said, sitting upright.

Without looking up, Marcus slid a folder across the table toward me. “Help me go through that and check for errors.”

I raised an eyebrow, letting out a short laugh. “I didn’t come here to help you go through paperwork.”

Marcus finally looked at me and smiled, “What can I do when I have a brilliant business administrator here, Of course, I will use her services.”

I shook my head, chuckling along with him. “You don’t miss an opportunity, do you?”

“Never,” he said, leaning back in his chair. “Now, shoot, why are you here, Your client isn’t giving you problems, is he?”

“Mr. Prescott is actually a gentleman,” I said, almost without thinking. My eyes

  • The Masked Stripper is my Wife.    A GOOD STEP

Loretta“Mom, can I have a cookie?” Adrian asked, looking up at me with hopeful eyes. I couldn’t help but chuckle. “Not yet, sweetheart,” I said gently, running my fingers through his hair. His face fell into a small frown. After a moment, he looked up again. “Okay… but is Dad not coming today?” he asked quietly. “He promised he would come to visit.”I smiled softly at him, even though my chest tightened a little. “Your dad is a very busy man,” I explained patiently. “He always tries to make time for us. If he doesn’t come today, it just means work is keeping him busy.” Adrian nodded slowly, as if trying to understand.Asher had really been making an effort these past few days since we arrived. I knew that. So if he didn’t show up today, it wasn’t because he didn’t want to. He must have been caught up with work, just like always.“Mom, can we stay in this house forever and never leave again?” Adriana asked softly. “I don’t want to go anywhere Dad isn’t.”I smiled at her, even though I

  • The Masked Stripper is my Wife.    LIVING A LIE

AsherI walked toward her, and she rose from her seat, offering a polite smile. “Thank you for inviting me, Mr. Prescott,” she said softly. There was a hint of uncertainty in her voice, almost like she was holding back a question.I nodded slightly, encouraging her to sit back down. She hesitated for a moment before lowering herself into the chair. “Edith, she doesn’t want to meet me yet?” she asked, her voice trembling ever so slightly, betraying the vulnerability she tried to hide.“She will join us soon,” I replied calmly. “I came here straight from work, so I didn’t want to keep you waiting.”Her smile widened instantly, lighting up her face. “I didn’t tell her about you,” I continued, watching her reaction closely, “because I wasn’t sure how she would feel. But I would like you to explain yourself to her when she arrives.”Her eyes flickered with a mixture of surprise and nervous excitement, and I could tell she was already imagining the conversation to come.Miss Jenna nodded s

  • The Masked Stripper is my Wife.    LITTLE BIT OF PITY

AsherI got home completely exhausted. The day had drained everything out of me. Meetings I was supposed to attend were left hanging, and my phone wouldn’t stop buzzing with missed calls and messages I didn’t have the energy to return. As soon as I stepped into the living room, I saw Edith. She was on a call, pacing slowly, her voice low. The moment her eyes met mine, she froze. Without a second thought, she ended the call and slipped the phone away, so quickly it was obvious she hadn’t wanted me to hear any of it.She stood up and walked toward me, her expression already shifting into something softer, almost rehearsed.“Welcome back, babe,” she said with a small smile. “I thought you were going to come back late.”Her words caught my attention. We hadn’t talked about my schedule. I hadn’t told her when I would be home. Yet she spoke as if we had already planned it. I dropped my keys on the table, my body heavy with fatigue, and looked at her. Something about the way she had ended t

  • The Masked Stripper is my Wife.    WIFE'S MOTHER

Asher“What’s going on here?” I asked, my eyes flicking back and forth between Grandma and Miss Jenna. My voice carried more tension than I intended. Something about the way they were sitting, stiff and uneasy, told me this wasn’t going to be a simple explanation.Grandma cleared her throat, her fingers nervously fidgeting in her lap. She avoided my gaze for a moment before finally speaking. “She, she is your wife’s mother,” she said, her voice low, almost a whisper. My heart skipped a beat, Miss Jenna hadn’t been lying all along. But even knowing that, I still didn’t understand what was happening. Why was she here now? Why had Grandma never mentioned her before? A storm of questions whirled in my mind, making it hard to think clearly.Miss Jenna shifted in her seat, crossing her arms and giving a small, uncomfortable sigh. “I have been trying to reach my daughter,” she said, her voice calm but tense. “I had no idea she was married to you, that is, until I read about it on a gossip bl

  • The Masked Stripper is my Wife.    MRS JENNA

AsherI was sitting in the dining room, quietly having breakfast, when Grandma walked in. She had come to visit a few days ago, and seeing her always brought a strange comfort. She leaned down and kissed my cheek before sliding into the chair beside me.“You look like you haven’t been sleeping enough,” she said gently, her eyes full of concern. “I have told you before, as much as you work, you need to rest just as much. You can’t keep going like this.”I smiled softly at her, shaking my head. “I do rest, Grandma. Honestly, I should be giving you that advice. Just because you are strong doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take care of yourself. Stop stressing so much and start resting properly.”She scoffed lightly, a playful edge to her words. “I might get sick if I rest too much,” she said, pausing for a moment before continuing. “But you, you weren’t home last night. Your wife said you barely sleep at home.” Her tone was gentle, but I could feel the worry behind her words.Instead of answeri

  • The Masked Stripper is my Wife.    KIDNEY FAILURE

LorettaIt had already been a whole month since we moved to this new place, and honestly, things weren’t going well at all. The kids really hated it here, and they made no effort to hide their feelings. Every day when they came home from school, they were full of complaints. They said the other children in their classes weren’t friendly, that they felt out of place, and that they didn’t like the school at all. Their unhappiness made the whole house feel heavy and tense.Even we, the adults, were struggling to adjust. Finding a job turned out to be much harder than we expected. We had been searching for weeks, going from one place to another, submitting applications, attending interviews, and hoping for good news but nothing seemed to work. Days turned into weeks, and we still hadn’t managed to secure any kind of work. It was exhausting and disheartening. Living off the money we got from selling our previous house wasn’t exactly easy either. Every day felt like a constant reminder that
