•Heather• I stared at the document on the table and sighed softly. I couldn't get my head around my interaction with Benjamin last time and I wondered how he could be so charming at times. I followed Bridgette's advice to the best of my capability. Whenever Benjamin would have tea in the courtyard or when he would be taking idle walks, I made sure to join him. •Benjamin• "That was fun!" Scott said as he looked over his shoulder at me. I hummed in agreement, pulling the reigns of my prized steed, Trevor, to slow him down. Parents could also send blessings and well wishes through letters so, why did they have to come here? •Benjamin• I squeezed the excess water from the cloth before making my way back to Heather's side. As expected, her fever had gotten worse throughout the night and she was breathing heavily as beads of sweat gathered on her forehead and neck. I wiped away the sweat from her body and frowned as I thought of what to do next. She had to take her medication but was barely awake. I put the cloth back into the basin and stared at her flushed face. Heather didn't look like she was having a peaceful sleep. She would toss and turn every now and then while looking extremely uncomfortable. I looked away from her and stared at a lantern on the wall. In the two years that the Harlows and I were closely associated, I have never heard them mention Heather. I only knew that they had another daughter when they mentioned it in passing. The castle was being decorated by servants while I had to write invitations to everyone who was on the guest list for the ball that was being held here. I usually just speculated while everybody else danced because I had two left feet. It was somewhere around six in the morning and I figured that starting off early would cater best to the busy day ahead. Thinking back to the request that Heather made yesterday, I was curious to see her reaction. Most nobles - especially high nobles - would never associate themselves with the poor, especially villagers. A part of me thought that she might be doing this as lip service.
