Sixteen: LISA

I feel something warm caressing my cheeks, and when I flutter my eyes open, it is to the rays of the morning sun shining into the room and on my face. I groan and turn over to my left side to find Christian's space on the bed empty.

Just then, my ears register the sound of running water from the bathroom, and I figure out that he must be in there taking a shower.

I yawn, using the back of my hand to cover my mouth as I sit up on the bed. As I rest the back of my head on the headboard of the bed, Christian's marriage proposal to me yesterday comes rushing back into my mind like a tsunami.

Something about his proposal does not really make sense. I mean, we have only known each other for like. . . .three weeks. Kissed only twice, which actually felt forceful and blank on my part both times. And also, this relationship with him is not as deep enough for me to even consider marrying him.
