Thirty Two: LISA

We snap back our eyes to each other, our hands still gripping the saucepan.

"Give me the pan Kayden. I want to wash it. You can go check the pizza before it burns."

He tries to resist, but my pulling grip on the saucepan is tight. He finally succumbs, seeing how hellbent I am about being the one to wash the saucepan. Of course I can't let him do everything in this kitchen alone.

As I wash the saucepan, he brings out the pizza. The aroma fills the air, and I can definitely tell that it is chicken pizza. My favorite.

Done with washing the saucepan, I wipe it with the dishcloth before placing it back with the other kitchen pots and utensils. Kayden has already carried the pizza to the table at the center of the living room. Just as he walks into the kitchen to carry the tray containing the mugs of milk, I grab the tray from where it is seated on the kitchen counter. Kayden opens his mouth, probably to argue with me, but I brush past him and head into the living room, hearing his footstep
