Thirty Five: LISA

FOUR MONTHS LATER

"Sandra, it's been twenty minutes already. Are we not there yet?" I groan, looking out the window as Sandra's car flashes by various houses and road side shops.

I turn my eyes back to her. "I hope this new boutique you are taking us to is worth your explanation for dragging me out of my house."

She glances at me, flashing me a smile. "Come on babe. Relax."

When Sandra came to my house this morning saying that she needed my help to grab some fashion pieces from a boutique she claims to be new in town, I agreed to help her. But I never knew the drive to the so called boutique will be this far.

And I am getting tired.

"Are you sure we haven't passed the boutique?" I ask, shifting in my seat.

"No." She shakes her head, her fingers tapping on the steering wheel in tune to the hip-hop music playing from the car's radio.

“It feels like we have been driving around in circles.” I complain.

She laughs. "We are almost there. Come on Lisa. Just a few more minutes."
