CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN

Zachary’s POV:

“Fuck!” I growled, stomping inside my tiny apartment.

I picked up the first thing I set my eyes on and banished it right out the window. My nose flaring as an overwhelming rage swept over me.

I thrashed the whole room, recalling the words Ethan said about half an hour ago.

“She belongs to the alpha, now. There’s nothing you or I can do to reverse this.” He snarled, grabbing me just as I shifted back to my human form.

Duncan howled in pain, anger, and frustration as our eyes followed the Alpha’s wolf out the door.

“He’s going after mate!” He roared. I then released a thunderous growl that shook the entire packhouse, but since it couldn’t reach Evvie or that asshole for an alpha, it’s useless.

“Go home, Zach.” Ethan ordered, like our roles as Beta and Gamma were reversed.

Instead of taking his advice, I snapped my eyes to him and snarled.

“We had a fucking deal.”

“The deals off. Fate has decided. You had your chance!” He barked, and my stomach sunk at his words.

I also feel bad for Zach because it wasn’t his fault he was simply taking responsibility for the “mistake” he thought he made so Hailey didn’t have to grow up like he did and in the process he lost a lot I hope he finds happiness

Strangely enough I do feel bad for Zach. He was tricked and sacrificed his wants for his “child”. Brenda and Gabriel were evil for what they did. If Logan is a good person I hope Zach finds happiness away from Evvie and lets her be happy with Logan.
