Becoming better

Orfilia's pov

My wolf was ferocious and raged when it came to her ego, and that's the mistake Ivory made. I got her from the neck and lifted her fragile body in the air. My dangerous moon wolf wanted to break that slender neck like a toothpick but it smelled her scent, coated with her pregnancy hormones which made my wolf take it back. I let go of her, eventually and Glad that I did. I did not want to hurt her from the beginning, yet talk alone about killing her and her babies.

She was gasping loudly, filling her lungs with air and I felt more frustrated than before. I was supposed to protect her.

"Ivory?" A familiar voice rang in my ears and I turned around to spot Lance standing behind me, a few meters away.

"Lance?" I called his name but I observed that his gaze was glued on Ivory.

He did not respond to my voice but he went straight to pick Ivory up and put her head on his lap.

"Ivory? Ivory? Are you okay?" He showed his caring side for her.

"Lance? Is that really you?" She called
