Chapter 36

Jared POV

            As Alpha Raymond drops her dead body to the floor, Rick, Alex, and I look on in stunned silence.  Alpha Ryan simply looks on in amusement.  As Alpha Raymond returns to the table to continue the meeting, we all slowly turn in our chairs from looking at Anya’s dead body.  Don’t misunderstand; I am thrilled that she is gone.  I simply don’t know what this means for Alpha Raymond given that the Wolf Council are here today and have witnessed the destruction of a she-wolf.

            “You took a big risk, Alpha Raymond,” Alpha Ryan states.  “How do you figure?” Alpha Raymond asks.  “Had we not agreed with your punishment for this female, you yourself could be on your way to jail,” Alpha Ryan says.  “I have no regrets.  She killed my mate.  She deserved to die,” Raymond says.
