Liam's POV

"She is." I say coolly and pull the divorce papers from my jacket, setting them on the metal table beside his chair. "Which is why you're going to sign these tonight."

He stares at the papers as if they might sprout sharp fangs and bite him. "I'm not signing anything."

"No?" I pull out a lighter and flick it once. The flame dances in the darkness, illuminating the stark fear on his expression. "You're covered in gasoline, Noah. All it takes is one spark."

His eyes go as wide as sau

IVY The boat glides smoothly through the water, but I can’t enjoy a single second of it. My chest feels tight, as though something is pressing down on my ribs. I stand at the railing, staring back toward the island we left behind, the wind whipping my hair as laughter and joy swirl around me from every other couple on deck. They’re all so happy and carefree. Yet here I am, completely miserable. This cruise was supposed to be our day. The full-day loop around the islands, ending with that magical sunset at Heartthrob Bridge. I had built it up so much in my head. After everything that’s happened these past few weeks, I was finally ready to take the next step with Liam. To let myself be close to him. Really close. These past few weeks before Kylie showed up, we had grown so much closer. The soft little pecks that turned momentarily hungry and the nights we spent talking until dawn. I used to think I wasn’t ready for full intimacy, but now… I wanted it. I wanted him.

Third POVMorning sunlight sparkles across the turquoise water as the large cruise boat rocks gently against the dock. The air is filled with excited chatter and the scent of sunscreen and salt. This is the much-anticipated full-day cruise — a luxurious loop around the nearby islands that ends in a romantic sunset stop at Heartthrob Bridge. Couples have been talking about it for days as it's the peak of their stay in Isla del sol.Amy stands a little apart from the crowd, leaning on her crutch, her expression one of careful concern. Her pulse thrums with anticipation and she's fighting to hide her evil grin. This is the moment she’s been waiting for.As Liam and Ivy approach the boarding ramp, laughing softly about something, Amy makes her move. She “accidentally” bumps into one of the dock workers carrying a stack of heavy supply crates. The top crate teeters, then tumbles.“Liam, watch out!” she cries out, lunging forward as if trying to help.Liam reacts instantly, shoving Ivy

Author's POVThe hot oil burns instantly, turning her skin an angry, blistering red.Chaos erupts across the entire pavilion as everyone stares at Ivy.Liam drops everything and rushes to his mate, pulling her toward the emergency sink with cold running water. “Fuck, I shouldn't have poured the hot chili oil into the jar until it cooled. I thought you knew I had."Ivy doesn't say a word as the pain causes tears to burn behind her lids. The wound is already healing, but because of how weak her wolf is, it's taking longer and she can feel every process.Meanwhile Amy limps after them, her eyes wide with manufactured horror, as tears already gathers in their depths. “Oh goddess, Ivy, I’m so sorry! My ankle gave out — I was only trying to help!” She grabs clean cloths and ice packs from a nearby station, fussing over Ivy with trembling hands while the judges and other couples crowd around in concern. While Liam is distracted, carefully cooling Ivy’s burns, Amy’s eyes flick to the abandon

Third POV Amy adjusts the pillow under her bandaged ankle and leans back against the couch in her hotel room, a small, satisfied smile playing on her lips. It has only been one day since the full moon run “accident,” and already everything is falling beautifully into place. Liam checks on her constantly, his Alpha instincts making him hover around her with concern every few hours. Even though Ivy tries to hide her suspicion behind polite smiles, Amy can still smell the distrust rolling off her in waves. But it doesn't matter to her anymore. Ivy's paranoia only makes Liam pity her (Kylie) more. In a few minutes, the second part of Amy's plan would begin unfolding and she can't wait. Right now, she closes her eyes and takes a much needed nap . Later that afternoon, she limps her way to the outdoor cooking pavilion, leaning heavily on the crutch they gave her. Liam and Ivy are already there, looking every bit the perfect honeymoon couple. Bitterness feels her chest, watching

Third POVThe evening air is warm and fragrant with salt and tropical flowers as Liam and I walk into the hotel’s open-air restaurant. String lights twinkle overhead, and soft music drifts from somewhere near the beach. For the first time since the lobby incident, I feel myself starting to relax. Liam’s hand rests on my lower back, his thumb tracing gentle circles against my dress. We’re halfway through appetizers when my gaze drifts across the room and lands on the familiar figure sitting by a small table near the window.Kylie Landon. She's staring down at her plate with such quiet sadness that my chest tightens. She looks… small and defeated despite her gorgeous red slip dress.Pity stirs in my heart as I stare at her. Earlier this afternoon, after that unsettling text, we’d spoken on the phone and honestly it had been a shockingly beautiful conversation. She’d been surprisingly warm, almost shy as she apologized for the lobby mix-up.When I admitted I thought she was someone e

IVY I watch her walk away, my heart hammering against my ribs like it wants to escape. That stride and tilt of her chin, the way her lips curled just slightly even while pretending to be polite... it’s Amy Foster. It has to be her. I lived with that snake for years so I know when she's pretending. Spinning around to face Liam, the hand he rests protectively on my lower back falls, but I don't pay it much attention. Instead, I grab Liam's hand and hold his gaze. His brow is furrowed, but not with the same alarm I feel. “Liam,” I say, trying to keep my voice calm, “please tell me you don’t actually believe that isn’t Amy.” He sighs softly, glancing in the direction she disappeared before looking back at me. “She looks a little like her, I’ll admit. They are pretty much the same height with a similar build. But two things you should think about. Amy Foster is unwell and shouldn't be able to travel. Two, if you look at their faces long enough, you'll see they don't look alike a
