LOGIN“Em … let go, don’t touch me!” Liora pulled Ethan’s hand away from her lips. “I still want to dance, I want to have fun!” she continued.
Seeing Liora start to move, swaying her body, Ethan could only let out a rough sigh. Meanwhile, Nadine stepped closer, slightly pushing Ethan away from Liora.
“She doesn’t want to be with you. Especially not to be touched by you. You’d better step away,” Nadine stood in front of Liora, who still looked absorbed in dancing.
Ethan tightened his jaw. “What do you know, move aside!” Ethan snapped, then pulled Liora back into his embrace.
Nadine stepped aside as Ethan was about to take Liora away. The men who had been dancing with Liora and Nadine felt offended when the girl they were targeting was about to be taken away by Ethan.
“Hey, let her go! Just find another woman, because that woman is ours!” said one of the tattooed men.
“Yeah, just look for someone else. We were with her first, we came together!” the other man added, this time using violence as he tried to punch Ethan.
However, the hand only swung through the air. Ethan was faster, using his right foot to kick the man in front of him.
Bugh!
“Tch! Dare to touch me, you’ll die by my hands!” Ethan said coldly.
“Akh!” the man hissed in pain.
Not long after, Ethan signaled Jack to get rid of them. “Jack! You already know what your task is!”
“Y-yes, Sir.”
Jack started approaching the two men but stopped when he heard his boss again. “Don’t forget, escort that woman!”
Ethan glanced at Nadine with a nod. Jack understood immediately and nodded back. “Yes, Sir. I’ll escort this young lady, don’t worry.”
Ethan looked at Liora’s face for a moment, seeing how messy she looked in her drunken state. “How many drinks did you have earlier, hm? What if someone took advantage of you, would you be able to accept yourself afterward?” Ethan said irritably.
Not wanting Liora to fall while walking, Ethan finally took the initiative to carry her.
In her unconscious state, Liora began to ramble. She remembered her husband and her best friend who had the heart to betray her. “That bastard must be having fun with his mistress! If he can sleep and be affectionate with someone else, then I can too, hehe.”
“He doesn’t even know that last night I already slept with his brother. How would he react if his beloved wife, whom he looked down on, could climb into bed with his brother-in-law.”
Liora spoke incoherently. Ethan didn’t hear anything she had just said at all, because Liora’s voice was drowned out by the DJ music.
Once outside, Liora started acting up. “I want to drink again. Where’s my drink … I want to dance, let’s dance again, Nadine,” Liora muttered. “Let me go, I want to be free!” she added while roughly pushing Ethan’s chest.
Ethan could only let out a rough sigh and stopped walking for a moment. “Stop acting up. You could fall, Liora!”
“Ah … who are you, daring to forbid me!” Liora straightened her body slightly, then framed Ethan’s face with her unfocused gaze. “Don’t stop me, I want to forget everything. I want to have fun, understand! So don’t get in my way!” Liora lightly tapped Ethan’s cheek.
Ethan felt that Liora was hiding something. “What’s wrong with her, why does she want to seek pleasure outside? Meanwhile, at home, doesn’t she already have Daren?” he monologued.
Liora squirmed and turned her head to the side. Soon, her hearing caught the DJ music fading away, and that made her angry.
“Hey, where are you taking me? Put me down, I want to go back inside,” Liora tried to get down, but Ethan didn’t allow it.
“No, you have to go home now. It’s already late, Liora, and a woman like you shouldn’t stay inside there for too long.”
“Home … go home to where, huh? I don’t want to go home, that place isn’t a home. It’s hell for me!” Hearing the word home, Liora immediately brushed it off sharply.
Degh!
Once again, Ethan was intrigued by Liora’s words. “What actually happened at home, for a woman like you to say something like that,” Ethan stared deeply into Liora’s beautiful eyes, which suddenly looked glassy.
Ethan panicked when he saw Liora start to cry. “H-hey, why are you crying?”
“Does your stomach hurt, do we need to go to the hospital?” Ethan panicked, thinking Liora had drunk too much.
“Huaaa … he’s cruel, hiks.”
Liora’s sobs burst out like a child who had lost her toy. Unable to bear it, Ethan finally hugged her small body.
“Ssttt … calm down, don’t cry,” Ethan coaxed.
Instead of stopping, Liora cried even louder. Ethan then realized that he wasn’t in the right place. Finally, he continued walking toward the car.
Click!
The car door was opened with difficulty because Ethan had to open it while still carrying Liora.
“Sit still, I’ll take you home,” Ethan fastened the seat belt around Liora’s body.
Instead, Liora pulled Ethan’s suit. The sudden action surprised him. “What does she want to do, is she going to kiss me?” Ethan thought. He didn’t resist or pull away.
Ethan appeared to wait for what Liora would do next.
“Oh, shitt!”
Ethan growled in annoyance, because instead of kissing his lips as he thought, Liora used his expensive suit as a handkerchief for her runny nose. Yet, he wasn’t angry at all. Instead, he gently stroked Liora’s head.
“Do whatever you want, as long as you don’t cry like earlier,” he whispered softly, not knowing why he couldn’t be angry at Liora.
After making sure Liora was sitting calmly, Ethan closed the car door. Then, he hurried to get in and sat behind the steering wheel.
“Liora, sit properly, don’t be like this,” Ethan warned as he was about to start the engine. Liora suddenly leaned closer while holding her stomach.
Not understanding what Liora wanted, Ethan turned his head, because the woman beside him didn’t say anything at all, only moving her hands as if signaling something.
“Liora, what’s wrong, what are you feeling?” Ethan asked worriedly after seeing Liora’s face turn red.
Not long after, Liora finally vomited, splashing onto Ethan’s suit and shirt. It was just liquid. Ethan could only close his eyes for a moment to restrain the emotion that almost took over him.
“Calm yourself, Ed! Don’t be angry, she’s not conscious of what she’s doing. Control yourself, okay,” Ethan reminded himself inwardly.
Especially when Ethan saw Liora’s weak condition after vomiting.
Ethan helped Liora lean against the car seat. Afraid something might happen, he asked about her condition, even though he realized he wouldn’t get an answer from her.
“Does your stomach hurt? Wait fifteen minutes, I’ll take you to my place,” Ethan said, glancing briefly as he started the car engine.
After that, the luxury car began cutting through the fairly quiet city, considering it was already late at night.
“Akhh … my stomach hurts,” Liora held her stomach, wanting to vomit again.
Seeing that, Ethan couldn’t bear it. “Be patient, we’ll arrive soon,” Ethan held Liora’s arm, afraid she would fall and, worse, hit the car dashboard.
Camelia grabbed Daren’s wrist just as the man was about to leave.“Darling, why are you getting up in such a hurry?” she said softly, though there was pressure in her voice. “Where are you going this early?”Daren turned and looked at Camelia’s face.“Let go first. I am going home.”“But I still miss you,” Camelia tried to hold him back, this time with a forced smile.“I said, let go.” Daren’s tone was low and firm. “I have stayed with you all night. Is that not enough?” he added.Camelia fell silent. Slowly, her fingers loosened their grip. Daren pulled away without looking back and immediately walked off, leaving Camelia staring at his retreating back with her jaw clenched.A few minutes later, Daren arrived at the large house, which felt unusually quiet as he stepped inside. He immediately hurried upstairs.“Liora?” he called briefly. There was no answer. He opened the bedroom door—empty. The bed was neat. Too neat.Daren let out a rough breath and stepped out, walking down the hal
“I’m so thirsty.”Martina woke up feeling thirsty. As she passed through the hallway, her steps stopped in front of her daughter-in-law’s room. Liora’s bedroom door was open.“Why is it open?” she murmured in confusion. She peeked inside. The room was empty, the bed neatly made. Martina glanced at the wall clock.“Not home yet?” Her assumption quickly led to one conclusion. “She must be with Daren.”Martina shook her head lightly and closed the bedroom door again, not suspecting anything at all.She continued walking. When she reached downstairs, she met Nancy, the housemaid.“Not asleep yet, Nancy?”“Not yet, Ma’am. I was just about to sleep. What do you need, Ma’am? I can get it for you,” Nancy offered quickly.“No need. I just want to drink some water.”“Oh … then I’ll excuse myself, Ma’am,” Nancy said politely.“Hm.” Martina suddenly remembered Liora and turned back. “Nancy, wait!”“Y-yes, Ma’am, what is it?”“Do you know where Liora is? I saw her room open and the bed still neat.
Chitt! The luxury sedan came to a slow stop in the quiet basement parking area. The engine was turned off, leaving behind a heavy silence. Dim lights reflected off the concrete walls, illuminating Liora’s limp figure in the passenger seat.Ethan turned his head.“When she’s calm like this, she looks beautiful,” Ethan unconsciously stared at Liora. “B-but … why does it look like she’s been crying?”Ethan leaned closer, his hand slowly lifting before gently wiping the tears from Liora’s cheek.“What are you thinking about right now, hm?” Ethan asked, receiving no response from Liora.“Is it because your stomach hurts, or is there something else hurting your heart?” Ethan guessed.Moments later, Ethan realized that Liora’s face was pale, her lips slightly parted, while her breathing was irregular. Not long after, Liora’s body moved restlessly from time to time, as if the discomfort in her stomach was attacking again.“Hey, are you okay?” Ethan asked when he saw Liora suddenly straighten

"Next time, never lie to me about your condition again," Daren warned, after sitting beside Camelia, who looked serious as she stared at her phone."I know … but, you like it, right? That way, we can always be together like this," Camelia leaned her body against Daren's broad chest. At that moment, Daren could clearly see Camelia’s post on her social media. For some reason, his heart suddenly felt uneasy. "Honey, did you post the flowers earlier?""Yes, why? You don’t like it?" Camelia looked up slightly."It’s not that I don’t like it, it’s just that later Liora will realize our relationship," Daren answered honestly.Camelia straightened her body, glaring at her boyfriend. "Daren, remember, Liora is just a replacement for me. Sooner or later, you’ll divorce her too, right?"Daren rubbed his face roughly. "I know, just don’t rush. I don’t want my plan to fail, that’s all!" Daren asserted, then moved away from Camelia.Seeing Daren angry, Camelia tried to persuade him by hugging him f
Cigarette smoke drifted slowly in the afternoon air.Ethan stood on the side terrace of the house, his back leaning against a pillar. One hand was tucked into his trouser pocket, while the other held a cigarette that was already half-burned. His gaze was fixed straight ahead—empty, yet turbulent.“Forget that night,” she had said coldly. “Pretend we never did it.”Liora opened the door. But before she truly left, she turned halfway.“And never think that I forgive you,” she continued softly but sharply. “Because you took something most precious from me.”The door closed. He did not know since when, but his chest felt uncomfortable. Liora’s words from a few minutes ago began to haunt his mind.“Shit,” he cursed under his breath. “Why do I keep thinking about her, when what happened was her own will?” Ethan rubbed his face roughly. It was not anger. Nor was it mere irritation. But his heart felt unsettled.More like disturbed. Soon after, Ethan exhaled the smoke slowly, his jaw tighteni
