After my conversation with Dr Thorne, he went to follow up on my blood test results, and I leaned back against the mountain of pillows behind me and closed my eyes. The words how and why kept flashing behind my closed eyelids. How did someone get ahold of wolfsbane, let alone get it into a hospital and manage to dose someone with it and why would they want to? It doesn’t take a genius to work out it was probably Ace that did it, or maybe Maddie on his orders though.

Cassie -After reading the first couple of sentences, I have to stop, go back and reread it carefully. I am incredibly surprised by what I am seeing written on the page. I carefully close the book, Using my finger as a bookmark so as not to lose the page Alpha wants me to read from, so that I can look at the front cover and I see it is a relatively standard, plain black-leather covered book with no image or writing on the front, but when I decide to check the spine, which is also blank, I see it is well worn, which means it has been opened and closed many times in the past. Cassie -It has been a whole week since I read the diary entry written almost 60 years ago by Luna Jennifer. A solid week of being holed up in this room, that Luna Lily very kindly insisted I call my own, That means it has been 2 weeks since my birthday, 2 weeks where all I have done is sleep, eat, heal, and meet with the Luna and the Alpha or spend time with Thomas. For about the last week now, each morning at around 9 am, I am set upon with harsh cramps that take my breath away and for the last 2 days they usually return around midnight, waking me from my sleep and causing me to clutch my abdomen and whimper until the pain subsides.
